SF ride rotation?

Mark, the only problem I see with your theory is the fact that NONE of the rides in the so-called "ride rotation program" were that good to begin with. I do not recall any rides being "rotated" before the days of Flashback/Z-Force, ShockWave/B:TE, Ultratwister, Sarejevo Bobsleds/Rolling Thunder, etc. I think that all the rides that were "rotated" were rides that had declining popularity, much like the rides that are being "rotated" today (save ViperWave moved for space considerations).

What I'm saying is I think it was ALWAYS about 'sweeping the dirt under the rug' so to speak. It *is* a great business strategy, IMO.

In other words, all of the "gimmicky" rides! I don't think that any of the rides you listed were destined to be proven thrillers for years and years. When the novelty of those coasters wore off and the crowds moved on to bigger and better things, those rides were sent packing to parks that needed a boost in attendance.
