SF new web site.

Why is it that SF .inc has to relaunch a nweb site every 6 to 9 months.

ITs new and red (www.sixflags.com) kinda like there faviorite super hero

typical SF, opening before everythings ready

I was messing with the pick a park thing, it's really annoying, it took me forever to pick a freaking park. But the individual park pages look much better than they did before.

And it appears Magic Mountain's Superman The Escape has a twist in it now!

Broken images, broken links, 404 errors, inconsistant "look..." outstanding!

It frustrates the hell out of me that talented Internet professionals can't get enough work when sad agencies put out crap like that for major public companies.

Well that's SF for you, their website seems to have just as many bugs in it as half of their new rides.

You can't help but wonder just how much money was spent from their budget just to upgrade the site, that's money that could've been better spent fixing up their parks if you ask me.

Not sure what everyone is seeing...that link above takes me to the same pages I've seen for months now.

Money for the website comes out of a general promotion/advertising budget, I'm sure. The money for fixing up rides not only comes out of individual parks' budgets, but is a completely different budget. Do people complain like this when CF or Paramount parks update their websites???

-Nate

Maybe they were testing the new site... it's back to the old one now!

lol from the design id say they paid about $50 for some high school kid to throw something together. the layout is horrible, loads extremely slow (and im on broadband), and the only time all the images load is when you goto one of the parks sites.

Edit: if you goto: http://origin.sixflags.com/ all the images actually load. same with http://www.sixflags.com/index.asp

The erUPtion attractions that are coming to GAdv. and somewhere else this year sound a lot like the Absolutely Insane/Sky Sling Rides S&S was marketing. Anyone know what they are?

Why do you have to bring anyone else into it?

What did you mean by this?
FORGET IT, I finally got onto the site and I know what you mean. That is very unprofessional of SF.

I bring other parks into it to show that, once again, people only critisize Six Flags and not the other chains. I think it's ridiculous for people to complain about the old site, then complain when they redesign it, *especially* when there were threads about the new Paramount sites only a week ago and *nobody* had a bad thing to say about the fact that they redesigned their site instead of spending the money on rides or whatever else.

I'm trying to point out how ridiculous it is for people to be complaining about the site when they do nothing but praise other (worse) sites out there.

I just checked and got the new one

Yeah, LOL, I found it, that shows you that whoever designed the site isn't a coaster fan.
