SF Great America - Need some facts...any help?

Cam,

In what picture do you see sushi? I don't see anything like sushi....I can only guess you think the woodcarver in the 3rd JPG, right side, 3rd one down has sushi in front of him rather than carved wood items...

Pardon my ignorance, but Condor was that big TALL flat right near Shockwave, right....if so, I'm sorry you lost other flats, but happy Condor was there.....maps are cool and all, but it was great to get up nice and high right away after entering so we could plan and strategize before our assault on the coasters....

Davie's Dingys was a swing ride. The tubs you sat in looked and were shaped like little boats. The lap bar was in the shape of a "T". When the ride started to go up to prepare to spin, the lap bars would come down. They didn't lock though. When the ride would stop spinning, it would come down and as soon as the boats made contact with the ground, the bars would come up. They lap bars went all the way thru the bottom of the boat and had a lever that made contact with the ground. The ride rose I think somewhere like 20 feet and spun flat, where as the Whirlygig does kind of a tilt as it spins. Damn, I hate being old. Davie's Dingies was where Iron wolf is now. There was also a couple of kiddie rides in the area too.

I have no signature because I am being stalked by a psyco.

Speaking of Condor, I have to tell you that it being "THE NEW RIDE" for the season way back when helps to aid those would argue that even the "GP" (not just enthusiasts) like to see impressive new coasters year after year ... while the height of Condor makes it different than just adding a Tilt-A-Whirl, it didn't overly impress anyone it's first year in the park. While I do share the opinion (of many here) that solid stable of flat rides definitely adds to the "punch" of a park, I think a good handful of the general public still demands something "big" be the "NEW FOR THIS SEASON" attraction that you paste on the side of a Coke can. Anyways, that said....

Did the Condor come from another park....seems that I have read that it was a transplant from somewhere...anyone remember where?

XX--EDIT--Scratch that last question...just did some SEARCHING and saw it came from SFMM....sorry bout dat! ;)
