"Yeeesh I am sorry, I sat in the back, I wasn't stapled and there was little to no air. I really wanted there to be some I swear but it wasn't there. I promise I will give it another shot this summer but that day I had nothing."

I do love Nitro but I have to agree. Everytime I have been in the backseat I've also gotten NO air. I've found 2-3 rows up from the back to be incredible air. Even the front has good air. I just don't understand what's up with that back seat. Please don't waste your time waiting for the back.

I have to get to coney island soon. i always go every season but its just somtimes not worth the risk by train. (for me being im younger and im not from that area) it isent that bad at the day time but i wouldent go trou then after like 6pm alone in the trains. They opened the jumbo jet again? i rode that thing when i was like 7yrs old and it was the scaryest time in my life. and to reride the cyclone you just give the ops money and you can stay on. but i just buy the braclet and get i think its 6 rides on the cyclone.Oh yea a hot dog in coney island is the best but so exspensive!!!! ANyone ever see the bumper cars on the main av that they are in the dark and theres a recording saying Bu Bu Bump your *** off! ? i couldent stop laughing that day. *** This post was edited by MrMightyMouse on 7/28/2001. ***
The back seat did have no air. I got better air in the back seat of Apollo's Chariot. or on SROS. about the Cyclones. i have never been on the CI cyclone. but i have been on the cyclone at sfne and i liked it. it was fun.
Well I hit SFNE again today and I still have to say that SROS is the air king of the coasters that I have ridden. Sorry NItro, maybe next time.
I just got back today also!
Strange about Nitro not having any airtime. If you purchase a copy of Coaster Mayhem 2001 later this year when it comes out, you'll be able to see all the airtime Nitro can provide. I was taped in row 6 for the whole ride and you can see just how high Nitro pops you up. What a fantastic coaster!

JC, who knows he's in the minority when he says Nitro is better than SRoS SFNE.

Is this a video and,if so, can i get it if i'm not an ACE member??I have also heard a few people say that coasters are tempermental and you can get a differant ride experience one day to the next.I am starting to believe this because,i have ridden Nitro over 15 times this year and, each time the amount of airtime i feel is varied.Which seat did you(legendary) find to be the best???

Well like I said I will certainly be giving Nitro more tries when I return to SFGA. Though bad "air day" or not for the coaster it can never compare to the air on SROS at SFNE. I really liked the seating on Nitro though.
Yes, Coaster Mayhem is a coaster video and yes you can order it even though you're not in ACE. It's an enthusiast video, not a professionally done video. That said, it is very entertaining, and shows a typical day at a park for my friends and I. If you wanted to check it out, email Claytes83@cs.com to get the details. This years video should come out by the end of the year.

About Nitro, I felt my favorite seat was front left or back left. The entire train provided fantastic rides though. I love when there's no bad seat on a coaster. :)
