Seperate forums?

Jeff, is there a reason we have one big General Buzz forum, instead of seperate ones? (I.E. one for Rumors, and another for Existing Coasters)

I find the one forum a little hard to manage, and I'm sure others do as well. Is it just a bandwidth problem or something, or have you just never thought/didn't want to make separate ones?

First off, we don't discuss rumors here unless they have some merit, which is rare. They end up being pointless wish lists and I don't want to read that stuff.

Second, fragmented forums suck. I know this from experience. For example, I frequent ASP.NET, which divides up the topic into far too many sub-topics, and your questions rarely get answered. Then take someplace like GotDotNet.com (ironically they're both run by Microsoft) where ASP.NET as a topic is just one forum. Less traffic, yet you get answers to your questions.

That's just one example, but I could give you others. I don't find the single general buzz forum hard to manage at all. I look at the titles and read what I'm interested in.

Never really thought of it before, but what Jeff described is exactly what I have noticed also.

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Thanks!
