SeaWorld Entertainment Inc., just a month after filing plans to build its first hotel at SeaWorld Orlando, has revealed that it intends to build a second hotel. The plan calls for a 250-room hotel within the Discovery Cove area.

I would ask how they didn't start doing this years ago, but I imagine the inability to retain corporate leaders may have something to do with it. Definitely a slam dunk though. Even Legoland sells out its hotel much of the time.

Can't really tell how it is situated relative to the park, but a lazy river connection to the park proper would be a nice benefit that might drive me to their hotel versus something else in the area.

I'm not sure how much is still with Busch and how much is with Seas, but all the land on the rivers around BGW would make for a killer Euro Lodge and Cabins, and High-End Campground.
Also after AK Lodge, you could have done something smaller in scale at BGT, on the back side of the Serengeti.
I mean look how long it took for Universal to join Disney in the full resort game.
I’m doing Discovery Cove for the first time this June. This is idea that should have happened years ago, but good on them for finally moving forward.

I searched for the exact quote and couldn't find it. I let perfect be the enemy of good...
I keep the CoasterBuzz Memes thread in my favorites for such occasions.
The exact quote morphed quite a bit over time to what we generally use now. Probably wouldn’t have the same effect.
I just wasted the last hour or so reading the SFGAdv hotel thread all over again. Entertaining as hell. Credit goes to Andy for what I’m pretty sure started the now famous tagline, which was in response to Josh’s (Raven-Phile) comment jokingly asking for ointment to treat the mark on his forehead from slamming it against his keyboard (thanks to billb’s refusal to agree with actual facts):
If such an ointment were profitable, it would already exist.
Gonch’s novel a few posts earlier where he painstakingly quoted every single incorrect reason billb gave throughout the entire thread for GAdv not having a hotel is also worth a mention.
