SDC Polling Guests for NEW ride

At the park today I was asked by a "local" as to which of these four I would rather see added to SDC in the near future, I think you know which one I voted for ;)

1) Great Mine Ride (An exciting coaster ride through an abandoned mine.)
2) The Shot Tower (An indoor adventure that will end with a thrilling freefall ride.)
3) The Great Barn (A fun 3-story interactive playground and adventure game.)
4) Ice House (An exciting indoor ride through a giant 1880’s ice house.)

If you picked #3 you're right, no seriously I want #1, but 2 and 4 wouldn't be too bad either.

-----------------

Isn't there Thunderation already though...which is like one of the wolrds largest mine coasters. I would go for the Freefall ride
That's what I was thinking... doesn't SDC already have a mine train? I know that its not enclosed, but if the park were to build another coaster, wouldn't something completely different from what they have be the ideal way to go?
I would pick the shot tower. Gotta go with some different variety.

SDC has both Thunderation, a mine train, as well as an indoor coaster, Fire in the Hole.

There's an online survey somewhere about this, where I voted for the shot tower...

Do you believe?

I'd go with the drop ride.... ThuNderaTion is possibly the best arrow mine train. Aswell as being the last one built. Fire in the whole was just boring and not exciting for me at all.

Drop ride is my pick. It sounds like an interesting ride.

I would think it would be similair to a "SDC" version of TW:TOT. I think it would be a lot of fun.

While coasters are obviously MY personal choice, the shoot-em-up dark rides seem to be doing VERY well with the GP right now.....and families mean $$$......which makes a profitable park....
Now that's a park that actually wants customer input.

Here's a link for an online version of the survey:

I like the mine train idea too, it almost sounds like a LoCoSuMo type coaster. If not, in the picture it looks like it could be a wild mouse type coaster themed to a mine train. If not that, I like the ice house idea. The drop ride either wouldn't fit into SDC, or it would be a very short drop.

The park is ONLY interested in what families have to say. If you'll notice if you answer "single" to question #1 you are dumped from the survey.

There really specific on what there asking. Apparently the Lost River must be pretty popular.

I would like to see something other than another Childrens Playhouse thing. 2 is enough as it is.

The artist rendering for the Great Mine Ride looks like they would use Great Shoot Out for the new ride. Hate to loose Great Shoot Out.

Ice House sounds to me like a spinning mouse.

Did anyone notice that when you finished the online survey that it said thanks for helping in the 2004 ride addition survey, or something to that effect?

-----------------

Yes, did not send the survey as I have no kids, but, everything on it pointed to it being for the 2004 season. The question about which ride/attraction you thought SDC could lose bugs me. No shortage of land at the City so there is no need to take away a ride in order to add one in my opinion.

Do they still have the Flooded Mine ride?

Just 15 miles from 2 CCI's.
Approx. 200 coasters ridden -- #1 Shivering Timbers

Great Shoot Out in the Flooded Mine, basically a float thru shooting gallery. You board little "ore" boats with guns and see how many points you can rack up as you float thru the ride.

Just 161 miles from a CCI and 40 miles from a (soon to be) GCI

Ice House looked like they could possibly do something like LoCoSuMo, but that probably wont happen.

JWolg, do you think those boxes will spin on that fitted track?

Which ride would/did you put in the space for which ride or attraction could be replaced with a new ride or attraction without having a negative impact upon the park?

Oh, and the question about which ride best represents the tradition of Silver Dollar City?

I put the American Plunge. Its Just a log flume, nothing special there.

For the attractions that best reminds me of the SDC History, I put the Great Shootout. But Fire in the Hole would have to be 2nd.
