SD2000 Pics

Not really a discussion, but I've had a very hard time finding any decent pictures of SD2000 on the 'Net. They're at Morgan's site....check it out.

I can't get on the Morgan website! AOL and IE don't work. It says I am not authorized to view it and I have no parental locks!!

DOWN WITH TRIM BRAKES!
Man, those SD 2000 trains are ugly!!!
Only your head is exposed!
It may be the biggest and fastest, but I'll take Millennium Force over SD any day!!
I also have that problem with the Morgan website, so it must be a problem with their servers or something. Oh well.

Well, seems that everyone wants to look at those pics, probably the reason why their website is soo busy. I saw them lastnight, and they look VERY good. I wish it was here like everyone else, but thats life.

Wow, those are some big ugly trains. What where they thinking there? Notice Morgan finally went to the outside guide wheel design with shorter ties between the spine and rail.

And Nagashima Spaland spent 51 MILLION ON THAT SUCKER!!!! CP, in my opinion, got a better overall ride, better trains, better design, and better PRICE!! Jeeeez, for double the price maybe that is a better coaster. (maybe, doubtful, but maybe)

I just saw the pics and couldn't get over those trains. What *were* they thinking? Hopefully, they look better in person (not that I'll find out anytime soon).
Yeah, the trains look horrible, and the second half of the ride looks downright boring, but the first three drops (318, 248, 210 feet high) look outstanding, but I'd say the better first drop goes to MF. After that, though, the second hill's nearly the same height as Goliath, which held the tallest coaster record just 4 months ago! The pretzel area looks quite awesome as well. The bunny hops on the way back are uninspired, though. Airtime freaks will love it, but 8 hops in a row just sounds painful to me. All in all, it looks like an amazing ride, and I'd love to be able to afford the airfare to go there. The trains though...MUST BE CHANGED!!!

They are pretty bad lol! I wonder how they ride? I don't like Morgan cars anyway but these take the cake. Nor do I like SD's color scheme which is too "hypercoaster-ish" if that makes any sense. Quibbles aside though, I would LOVE to ride this thing.

Agreed, these are by far the most ugly trains I have ever laid eyes on. I guess the look of the rolling stock does not matter to the ride's performance. I STILL want to ride this monster.

Gotta ride 'em all!
Congratulations Morgan for once again topping yourselves and designing possibly the ugliest trains of all time. Did they use Yugo spare parts on this thing or something? I can't imagine they would intentionally make the trains look like that!? Makes you wonder what the Phantom's Revenge trains will look like. Could be scary, literally!
that was REALLY funny, good job. LOL!!!!
I would like to focus on the price for a second again. I had a post on GTTP a month or so ago where I said that if Arrow or any coaster company with the spine-like track built a giga-coaster, it would be expensive. I said this because their track is much weaker than MF's and requires more supports. (look at the track over the lagoon, no supports the whole way across!!!!) Do you think a Morgan chassis could do that???? Looks like Intamin is the ticket for reasonabley priced roller coasters of any kind.
Sure, as long as you can get them to work. Intamin has the hardest times getting their rides open on time.
MF opened on time. Sure it was only with 2 train operation, but it wasn't bad. It still ran just peachy after building it, and it was using a new lift!

The Supermen opened on time too, save for S:TE at SFMM. Also the various free fall rides have been on time, as far as I know. I think they have a pretty good track record the last few years.

I don't know that the box/triangle truss track is cheaper to manufacture. It is certainly more rigid and can span great distances without support, but I couldn't even begin to count the number of welds on any given track section versus a Morgan section of the same length.

Those trains aren't that ugly. There are a bit oversized!

Riddler's Revenge: THE MOST UNDERRATED COASTER IN THE UNIVERSE!
The trains can be ugly, but that doesnt affect the ride itself. Look at Magnums trains, I find those rather pathetic based on the pictures that I have seen.

Really? I thought that Magmun's trains were the best looking until the Intamin 'stadium seating' trains came out. These are easily the worst looking, but as some one pointed out to me, there is probably a ton of space inside. Let's just hope they aren't using the U-shaped bars (ala Villian, G-man, SOB) and are using something roughly T-shaped (MF, RB). BTW: what do the Morgan hyper restraints look like? Can anyone refer me to a pic?
