Scream! is vertical.

kRaXLeRidAh, I have been there. The only part of the park that has trees is that hill in the middle. Build Scream! there and landscaping will be no problem, but it is too small to build all the rides in that one miniscule area.

If you can't beat your computer at chess, try kickboxing.

The entire parks is covered in trees except for the baja ridge area, and the outskirts of the park from Psyclone to Batman-Colossus all the rest of the park is landscaped and very nice and shady on those blazing hot summer days.

Yes Scream will probably look more like Medusa East then Superman, but even then it will not be a complete clone. Scream is being built for the plot land at SFMM not SFGADv so there will be some changes in layout.

Also I didn't notice nor care when I was riding Medusa West that there was a parking lot under us, If I can think of things that vain while riding a coaster then maybe that coaster is not doing it's job. If the coaster was a good coaster you should be thinking about the thrill and the elements your going through not ........OMG I just saw a parking lot line

Anyways there will be updates tonight at your usual sites, Scream should be pretty vertical by now, especially since their pushing for a 28 day vertical construction deadline. Construction should go really quick and thank god April is just right around the cornor, well sort of lol.

I notice most of the people who don't care about the lot mention that they don't notice the lot "while riding". Well there are certainly enough distractions to allow this. My point is that a guest's initial impressions with the ride are affected by its general view and I for one am severely less impressed with a non-landscaped ride than a landscaped one. It looks like a carnival ride set down for cheap thrills rather than a permanent thrill ride that the park treats with respect.

I guess a house analogy might work. Would or has anyone one here built a new home? Did you asphalt the yard or did you sod it? Certainly the look of the outside doesn't affect how well you sleep in your bed, nor how relaxing it is on your sofa in front of the tv, yet most people landscape thier yard all the same. Likewise, your car does feel a little nicer to drive after a good wash and even better after getting it detailed....certainly neither dramatically effect the actual performance, yet it does change the ride experiance to some degree. That's how I feel about coasters too.
