Schwarzkopf Steel Loopers : Am I The Only One Who

My first loop was Lightening Loops at SFgadv.I loved this coaster and was so Dissapointed when they took it down.I can hear the launch now and, the feeling of the stairs shaking When the train left the platform.The drop off into the loop after the launch was incredible and i have quite a few fond memories of riding with people who never ridden it before and then seeing them white as a ghost when it was over.Are both sections defunct now??

Rickyswmm, Lightning Loops were manufactured by Arrow Dynamics. Schwarzkopf's shuttles did not have the staircase or drop before the loop, and were completely different mechanically. Visit my site to see the difference between them.

Only one of the Lightning Loops, the "lower" loop, remains in operation as Diamond Back at Frontier City. The upper loop remains in storage at Six Flags America after several years there as Python.

I think that Schwarzkopf loopers are some of the greatest around. I think I've only been on Greezed Lightnin', Montezooma's Revenge, Mindbender, Revolution, and Shockwave, but I love each of those for a different reason (although Revolution could stand to loose the OTSRs.)

I never get tired of Montezooma's no matter how often I ride it. Mindbender was simply outstanding, IMO a top ten roller coaster. It had OTSRs as well, but it didn't take too much away from the ride because they weren't nearly as uncomfortable as the ones on Revolution. That guy was a genious.
