Since the mid 80s, Schwarzkopf loopers have died out. Personally, I think his coasters are the best. Don't get me wrong, I love B&Ms , but afterwards, I feel dizzy. On a Schwarzkopf, You can ride and ride again. Schwarzkopfs don't stress you like a B&M does. In fact, My two favorite steel coasters are Schwarzkopfs, Viper and Mindbender @ SFoG. So, Am I Crazy, Does Anyone Else Like Them Or What?

Deja Vu - Fast Forward, Blast Backwards
Ya us... SFGAm'ers used to love the Tidal Wave (Viper@ SFOG) but then it was moved.
At least we still have 'Whizzer'! :)
BUt I agree with you very much so.

I think anyone who has been fortunate to go on one of Schwarzkopf's better loopers, especially, the shoulder harnessless ones, will tend to agree. They don't build big coasters anymore and there aren't as many as the other companies, so they don't get as much recognition. Mindbender at Six Flags Over Georgia blew me away, and their shuttle loop coasters are also fabulous. /me dreams for a Schwarzkopf hyper :)

I think they are the best looping coasters ever created! laser at dorney park kicks!
Starcoasters..Your site review of SFoG is fab!
ah! i love 'em too, 'specially Revolution, loved that loop when i was 8

"Why you kick my dog?"
I know this is probably the weirdest reply anyone will ever read, but I absoulutley LOVE the sound Viper (SFoG-Formerly Tidal Wave @ SFGam) makes when it is launched. It also has the best themeing ever (comparable to MF)

Deja Vu- Fast Forward,Blast Backward
Gotta love the ear shattering "CRR-CLANK"
My first ride on Mindbender was spent going backwards halfway down the lift hill!!

Anton built the best steel coasters when he was on. The trains are in great shape, and no track issues.
Oh yes! I love Schwarzkopfs!!!! I'm lucky to have the great Shockwave at my home park! :) Schwarzkopf is my favorite designer! He is the one that proved that a ride doesn't need all those special elments to be great just vertical loops.

It's my opinion!
You ain't going to change it!
Why even try?
Schwarzkopf coaster are good. For anyone who wants to see some of his work (including his never built figure 8 looper!) go to

It doesn't say how many G's that figure 8 coaster pulls. Can someone shed some light?
THat looks insane. :)

I am a huge Schwarzkopf fan! Viper and Mindbender both rank in my top 20 steel, and I LOVE Laser at Dorney, SooperDooperLooper at Hershey, and every single Jumbo Jet, Wild Cat,
and City Jet I've been on so far...go Schwarzkopf!
Mindbender- if you start feeling on B&M loopers then try keeping your hands on the handles and pushing out on the restraint a little. I used to get very dizzy on any looper when I had my hands up and actually thought poorly of Kumba when I rode it. then I put my hands down and felt much better. the g's in the loops and in tight turns push the restraint into you so much that it can make it hard to breathe (Shockwave @ SFGAm almost made me pass out). that's what causes the dizziness.
I can ride Montezooma's for hours. I never get tired of that ride. It truly is one of my favorites.

coasterjedi-
Thanks for the tip. I'm going back to SFoG on the 5th, and will be eager to try what you said. :)
Shockwave makes me dizzy in the back. And the loops aren't tear shaped.

TITAN Laps: 1
I wish that Astroworld would realize that they don't need the over the shoulder restraints on the Texas Tornado. I have never ridden it, but I am sure they ruin the ride. The ride ran in Germany without the shoulder restraints. It just would be weird riding a Schwarzkopf with OTSR's.
I love Schwarz. In my mind, SFoG Mindbender is like the grand pappy of all other great looping coasters. And there are too many other great rides to mention......Superdooperlooper is a terrific one that i rode recently. TONS of fun.
