Bob Henry, the accountant and family man whose vision for a small patch of New Braunfels land led to beloved Schlitterbahn, as well as helping give rise to the concept of the resort water park, died Monday. Schlitterbahn became one of the most successful water park chains in the country and was influential in turning water attractions into vacation lands.
