Scenery Category for CB Games

Just 'twas thinking, maybe it would be cool to have a custom scenery category on CoasterBuzz Games, what with the advent of RCT2's import feature. There are alot of amazing things being made out there, and I think some sort of database of RCT scenery would be really neat.

How big are the files, generally speaking?

I just checked, and almost all of them are 5 kb or less. I think this is a great idea, the only thing that would be bad is some other sites have people who make like 30 different crappy objects. Maybe their should be a ToS for the games section to stop things like that.

I've pondered the same thing, Zero-G, and thought it would be cool. I'm not a participant on any other coaster boards, but I've been working on some custom scenery myself and would love there to be a place on coasterbuzz for it.

As to keeping people from uploading loads of crap, how about making the file posting strictly moderated (only approved files get posted). This is important so that folks aren't downloading things that haven't been properly tested.

That and the fact that you can turn any BMP into a scenery item. Considering that any JPEG can be turned into a BMP...

That is a great idea and I strongly encourage it - but I think a lot of people here might get confused as to how to create scenery, because there's no scenery editor in the game. I for one don't know how to create it.

Hopefully the fact that the majority of people don't know how to create their own scenery will keep crap of the boards. Even if they do upload junk they made in two minutes, the Moderators have the ability to delete files (I believe).
