Scariest place to break down?

I think being stuck on the second lift of The Beast at PKI. Long walk back, and your surrounded by woods!! That would really suck
The second drop of SP. If you were in the front seat. YIKES.

Scariest - Beast in tunnel at night on Halloween on Friday the 13th with no moon & Nightmare on Elm St, Psycho, Texas Chainsaw Massacre & Alien airing on TV & with news having reported escaped killers & Mike Myers, Jason Vorhees, Freddy Krueger, Norman Bates, Leatherface & the Alien in the cars behind me with the Vampiress from Fright Night next to me.

My first time I ever got stuck on a ride was on the trim brake section of The Incredible Hulk Coaster. For those of you who haven't ridden the Hulk, the trim brake platform goes right through a loop. This being the first time that I've been on a broken down coaster, all that I could think of was (for those of you with Rollercoaster Tycoon, when the station brakes fail and a train is running through the ride and when it comes into the station and crashes into the train ahead of it) waiting to see another train shoot out of the lift hill and eventually hit us from behind and blow us to our fiery graves. Thank god the ride ops unlocked us and we slowly rolled to the station. That was the scariest place to break down!

The top of the old Intamin Freefall rides pushed out on the ledge, I experianced this many times on the PGA Edge, after a long period of sitting there suddenly without any warnings 'click' you get dropped, one time I was up there for over two hours when it suddenly droped, great fun

Chances are you wouldn't get "stuck" at the top due to the ride design. I have friends that worked the one at Lagoon called "The Rocket" whenever there is an overspeed or the opp or computer shuts the ride down it comes to a smooth stop using a cushion of air, the SLOWLY (and i mean slowly) lowers you back down to the base. Also, for whoever said they would hate being stuck on a lift hill, While working at Lagoon amsument park in Utah I rode Their wooden and steel and have been stoped on both lifts and didn't mind it, I wouldn't mind going down their woodens lift either but walking down on the stairs of their steel on a windy night. Count me out, I rather wait with my lap bar holding me in. :D

Actually on S:TE those are breaks to an extent. They are magnets that have the opposite polarity as those on the cars. This means that yes they do attract to the magnets on the cars, BUT only enough to slow the car so it would stall and come back down this is because the car is heavy enough to simply fall back down instead of stopping up there.
Really? if you don't mind me asking, how did you find that out? I assumed them to be standard friction brakes. If it's reverse polarity magnets, I thought "Why not same polarity to repel the car back down. Ohh, if the car barely slows down & gets on top, it will be repelled right off the track!! :)"

What brakes are there behind the station? And is there a barricade with plungers like on Impulse coasters? Is there a barricade at the top? From what I recall seeing, don't think so.

That's impossible... They're just LIMs and they'd just let you go anyways.

Worst Coaster: Project Stealth"

You are right, there are stairs at the top, but there is a escape vehicle to get people down. If you look at the left side of the track, before the staircase at the top, you will ee what looks likea ladder without the rungs in it, and there is a cable instead. There is a box much like the kind you would find on a cherry-picker, that will ascend the lift hill up to the staircase point, so it can get people down. I think anywhere on Millennium Force above 150' would be a scary place to get stuck.

Millennium Force: The Future's Riding On It
I would agree with MillenniumForce04, I don't think that I would be able to do it. Any hyper/giga coaster would be scary if you were stuck on the top of the lift or hill.

If I got stuck up 250+ ft in the air, I would ahve to wait until the coaster started to move. I wouldn't be able to get down. BTW, has anyone gone to Yosemite National Park in CA? Those roads going in are scary.

Nitro: The Most Explosive Coaster on the Planet explodes at Six Flags Great Adventure in 2001.

i would have to say the first spike on one of the deja'vu coasters, i mean, your completely vertical, all your body weight is on the OTSR's and you can be up to 195ft high! it would be almost as bad if you got stuck in the cobra roll too, which im not sure that can happen because there isnt much of a dip in it, but still.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that getting stuck on a Vekoma Flying Dutchman in the loop. I think that waiting for the rescue crew would be easy enough, but how about trying to get out of those restraints?
