Personally I really don't care what it is called, I still like the ride.
I personally would like it changed. Beastie means nothing to me. My kids will be slightly more amused to ride the Odd Parents coaster than they ever would have been to ride Beastie.
If it makes it seem more special to them when we visit this June, then I'm all for it.
I'm sure PKI management will appreciate the constant meaningless e-mails though. :)
The name Beastie never did go with Hanna-Barbera Land. The yellow paint job was always more attractive than the purple paint job.
The new name is horrible, but so was Beastie IMO.

And others are correct, the Beastie was originally themed after Scooby Doo. Check the original park map, a copy of which I believe is hanging in the PKI nurse's station.

Sadly, Your way late on any chance as succeeding in this. Im almost positive by now all themeing and signage are gone and probably a good deal of the new stuff is underway.

Because of last week's top 10 watched shows on basic cable, 7 of them were Nickelodeon shows.
That's not a certain child demographic, that's of all people watching all shows on all of basic cable.
Fairly Oddparents is the highest rated cartoon with only Spongebob even coming close. Think about it, more people watch Oddparents than even watch Spongebob. (On a per show basis)
Which do you think PKI would do better with? The generic name of "Beastie" or a ride themed to the most watched cartoon on television?

A couple thoughts...First, the Beast had a lot of mystique that allowed it to carry the names of two other coasters. It seems some of that is now lost for whatever reason.
Thats because Gramke maintains Beast.
