Motel 6 in Dale is a pretty decent place to stay. Better than every other Motel 6 i've stayed at. Stayed there last year and will do the same this.
That's where I'm planning to stay when I make my first trip to HW, sometime this year. I looked it up, and rates there are more than reasonable, and I've enjoyed every Motel 6 that I've stayed in.

See you soon! Paula
That is sweet Paula. I added the link over at KIC. I know a bunch of us are heading over.
Before you can be older and wiser you first have to be young and stupid.
Hello Everyone -
This is Laura with Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort. I just wanted to let everyone know that we do offer linens for those that are flying in. It's just a small fee. Hope we'll see some of you staying with us! :o)

^^^ Whoa, that's cool you have online pre-reg now. My friends and I have been sending the printed form to each other via snail mail so we can all sign it, but that's much more efficient. :)
I stayed at the santas lodge, and thought it was just an o-k place.
We were not to happy when we never got our wake up call in the morning. It made us miss the morning ert :( .
I am amazed that there are not any commercial hotels in the holiday world area or right inside santa clause.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
There's a Comfort Inn 10 min from Holiday World in Ferdinand that I've stayed at the last few times I went to Holiday world, and I've got them booked for this year too. Never had a problem, it's been immaculate. My only gripe is that aside from a Wendy's across the parking lot and a gas station, there's no other food around.
I've stayed there twice as well. Seems to be pretty solid. There's very little decent food for 50 miles in any direction, unfortunately. Not counting the park, of course. :)
I stayed at that Comfort Inn a few years back. After a long night at Holiday World, that drive seems to take forever, but it was a pretty nice hotel. I will agree with the Wendy's/gas station complaint, though.

...and Paula's kitchen! :)
Is that an invitation for dinner at your place this fall?
During the season, dear, Holiday World *is* my place!
Hey...The Schnitzelbank isn't that far away - they're 21 miles away from the park and some of the best German food I have ever had.
Both times we went to HW we stayed at the Hampton Inn right beside the Schnitzelbank, but never ate there. Now you're making me wish we did try it.
My 10-year-old son learned the Schnitzelbank song in school this year -- and bursts into a chorus and a few verses (there are many!) every once in a while. Course, when we go there to eat, he just wants chicken strips...
So Paula, is this the same song?
If it is I didnt realize this was an actual song and not something the Animainiacs didnt make up.
Oh, ugh! Yes, that's it -- luckily he didn't learn the dance!
They made up alternate verses, the original is all in German.
Okay, now it's in my head. Thanks a lot, Gonch!
Hey! George mentioned it first!
Yeah, but you're more responsive to chain pulling.
Sort of like an old ... oh, never mind. :)
