RUMBLEFEST announced for Beech Bend Park

Hello CoasterBuzz,

I wanted to give everyone a heads-up that Beech Bend Park announced during NoCoaster Con that they will host the First-Ever RUMBLEFEST on Sunday, May 28th.

Beech Bend will post the official information and a registration form on their website sometime this week.

Although this info is subject to change pending the official website update, here is the basic plan:

Date: May 28th
Registration Fee: Around $24.00, subject to change when the official flyer is posted.
Includes:
* All-day ride wristband for Sunday
* Dinner at 7:00PM for all attendees
* ERT on Three coasters (Wild Mouse, Brief Encounter and the KENTUCKY RUMBLER)

This is a good deal, since the basic all-day wristband by itself is $24.00. You'll be getting dinner and ??? hours of ERT for FREE, essentially.

ERT Times: Subject to change for the two steel coasters, but the RUMBLING begins at 8:00PM.

The RUMBLING will last until at least Midnight, but could go later depending on how many people wat to stick around.

Also, Chris Gray and Yours Truly from GCII will be operating the coaster during the RUMBLING, and we promise to make it a memorable evening.

I hope everyone has a chance to update their plans for that weekend. I understand there is some other kind of event the day before at some park nearby...

See everyone at RUMBLEFEST '06!

Isn't that the same weekend as the one where Friday and Saturday a Holiday World event is planned?

It's also Memorial Day weekend.

And that's probably not just a coincidence.;) Sounds like a lot of the Holiwood Night crowd will be attending.
I just thought of the perfect song to do a kentucky Rumbler video to...Rumble in Brighton by the Stray Cats

Sounds like fun.

I was debating heading further south after Holiday World, but this seals the deal for me. I'll just have a longer drive home on Monday. My excitment is high.

That's a weekend too early for me. Still in School.

But whatever, It's Beech Bend. I can't see how I wouldn't get plenty of rides anyway. Just no people to talk to.

This will be about our ONLY chance for night rides on the Rumbler this year, and from what was said at No Coaster, I'd guess we'll be rumblin' well past midnight. :) *** Edited 1/17/2006 5:13:16 PM UTC by Acoustic Viscosity***

^ We'll be rumblin' as long as the GCII guys are awake and at the controls.. ;)

:)

P.S. I'll bring some espresso... ;)

If they fall asleep and just let the Rumbler go on auto-pilot that will be fun as well. ;-)

The Rumbler is going to be my new man. I can feel it. :-P

You guys are killing me! Another event I want to go to on my wedding weekend! AHHHHH!!!!! Actually if ERT doesn't start until 8pm, we could probably make that... hmm... :)

Perish that thought, Swoosh!
Yeah, I know there is no way that is ever going to happen as the wedding is in Columbia and Bowling Green is a pretty good drive away. It's almost 5 hours to Santa Claus anyway. :( Thank God we are headed to Vegas on the Monday.

Do it Swoosh.....do it! Your future wife won't mind right?

I am actually lucking out. One of my best friends is getting married the weekend before Memorial Day weekend. My brother is getting married the weekend after. No Rip Roarin Rampage for me.....again. :-/

I would of had to KILL one or both of them if they scheduled their weddings DURING Holiwood Nights/Rumblefest.

I was married on Memorial Day weekend. I'll be celebrating my 2nd anniversary at the events. It will be my wife's first night rides on all the coasters.

Her comment after riding the Beast in the dark was, "that was insane". I know this collection will really blow her mind.

It should be my best anniversary ever.
