Anyone ever have a similar experience with park characters like that?

Hot stuff.
And being pushed and hit is really the norm. Its honestly (and sadly) part of the job. It does suck, but believe me, people that do that get some pretty harsh penalties, like being kicked out or even arrested for assault!

It doesn't matter how much you get it, you don't get used to being popped by guests. My girlfriend went back two weeks later and some guy got in her face, told her she wasn't scary, punched her then asked her what she was going to do about it. I hate people ... and this is all at the semi-family oriented, don't-touch-the-monsters-they-won't-touch-you Cedar Point.

Well. the girl shouldn't have said anything, and it woudn't have happened. Plus, most of the characters make those comebacks anyhow. If you can't be scared by them, they'll just try to make up stupid randome stuff. It just depends on how one person can take it. She obviously couldn't, others, like myself, would have been able to.
Um, hello? She's 10 years old. She was joking, and was giggling like a 10 year old girl when she said it. I don't see how a goofy comment can turn into such a rude reply.

They are monsters. Their primary job is to be scary and if that entails a little bit of mean humor, so be it.
This is not mickey mouse making fun of a 10 year old girl. This is a monster.
And if that argument doesn't appeal to anyone, I think its time to get a sense of humor. Just like the girl wasn't serious, I get the impression that the monster was joking as well. Yes, a sense of humor (and perhaps a bit of common sense) goes a long way....

Regardless, whatever happened to the phrase "sticks and stone may break my bones, but words will never hurt me"? My father would have pulled me aside and told me I was being ridiculous to cry for an hour over something so trivial.

There is a restaurant that I can't think of the name of, but their whole thing is that they treat you like crap. I tried getting in while down in South Carolina and found out there was a two hour wait to get in! Some of us like to be insulted I guess! Either way though, even if you don't like it you should not punch someone.

Yeah you guys are right. It's perfectly OK for a 30 year old to make a 10 year old girl cry because she made a joke about his fake nose.
What makes you think the guy was 30? I don't know about Six Flags specifically, but most of CP's monsters are college kids, and from what I saw of the staff at SFWoA that was left yesterday, they're the same age or younger.
Becca: I believe that restaurant is just called Dick's.
