Vortex at PC can be rough. Not like "OH MY GOD IM GONNA DIE!" rough but there is a bit of headbanging in the helix, the corkscrew, and the rising turn after the loop.

I noticed when I rode Mantis in 2000 it was pretty rough for a b&m ... The firts half of the ride is ok but after the 3rd inversion its all downhill from there *pun intended* when going into the midcoruse brakes my head slamed into the harnest then at the end with all the tight turns and littel dips I got roughed up a bit but it wasent to bad but maybe in a few years it will be? i guess it depends on how it ages and the condtin cedarpoint chosses to keep it in.
Mantis rough? I rode it this year, and I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. It wasn't just a good day either, because I rode it three seperate days, at 2 different times in the season. My only complaint with Mantis is I wish it ran 3 trains instead of only 2. I didn't think Vortex at PGA was that rough either. Iron Wolf hurt like hell when I rode it in the front row, but after that, now I know to ride it in the last two rows. There it is only a little rough.
Ehh, I was just counting the minutes until Iron Wolf was mentioned.
The ride in itself isn't rough at all. It's just rapid transitions. It also feels rough because it's a forceful coaster.
