Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 took the top sales spot in its first week of release, pushing The Sims: Unleased expansion pack out of the number one position.

Tell me, please, what you need to do with a mouse in RCT2 that you cannot do with a joystick and two buttons?

with a mouse all you need to click but witha game controller you would have to press 3 or 4 buttons for each thing

Is there a Trainer for RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, or anything of that nature.

jon: how do you figure? At least when I played RCT (dont have RCT2 yet) all I did with the mouse was click and drag. Do you *realy* think a console system would NOT be able to handle holding down ONE button while using the joypad to move around? Have you ever played a first-person shooter on a console?

The only thing you would lose is the keyboard shortcuts, and to be honest, I personally never use them.

Okay, I agree that not much would be lost if RCT2 was put onto a console, but do you realy need that. I mean, I don't think the game would be at all as interesting on a TV screen up to five feet away from you. Lots of the fun in RCT2 is enjoying all the details put into the game. like the little tiles on the Wonton Soup Stall, and all the little peices on a hypercoaster car. None of this stuff would be nearly as clear on a TV screen. All of your tiny little peeps that you adore so much would just becom little moving blots on a screen. All in all, there is WAY to much detail in RCT2 to be put on a TV, sorry. *** This post was edited by Tyler Smetts on 11/7/2002. ***

that is what I think too. it is possiable but it would take a lot of work

Does anyone know if you can burn a working RCT 2 cd from ISO's?

Thanks

Well the question becomes do you *need* RCT2 at all? Of course the answer is no. I WANT RCT2 on a console simply because my "wooly mammoth" computer is to stu-stu-stupid to run RCT2. There are too many issuse that I am unhappy with on my comp to upgrade it, so RCT2 will necessitate me buying a new comp. I would *much* rather buy a new console than a new comp.

Also, I'm not sure I buy that you wont be able to see the peeps. I'm talking about an XBox or a PS2, NOT an Atari 2600. I think the resolution would be sufficient (though I'm not a tech geek so I cannot prove that. Just a gut feeling).

RCT2did not run on my lap top. I put it on my wife's computer and it ran ok. Overall, I am not impressed. Nothing fundamentally changed with the game.

Ok, so now you can see a white shadow of the ride when placing it. Big woop. And for those of us who question the "McDondalds" theme park approach of Six Flags (yawn). Though I thoroughly love the original, and will probably play the sequal, I am not sure it was worth the additional money. Add 3-d peep view and you will have me hooked. I give it a "B-"
