Floorless Fan said:Robbie had mentioned a little earlier in the week on a radio interview about the safety ramp. He was confident about the jump, but he and his dad had incidents where they fell short and did headers into the ramp. Just a precautionary measure. He still made the record. I don't blame him, if I were in that situation, I think I'd do it too. Who really wants to die for their profession?
Uh dude, He didn't wear any of the things any moto cross rider would wear except for a helmet. Thats like a smoker smoking Ultra lights and being convinced he'll never get cancer from em.

Wake me up when he jumps some Jack Daniels trailers.

I just watched a documentary on Evel a couple weeks ago, I believe it was on the History channel, anyway Evel Knievel would in fact have had it that way. Robbie didn't want to do jumps with a safety ramp to begin with, but his father convinced him of it. They both agreed that it could save their lives if something went wrong.
Tambo, Im stupider than you :)

Screw the theatrics and just measure off a distance and try to clear it - and line the entire area with fluffy pillows and air bags.
Or cheer him on as he rides SOB. ;)
