I still get somewhat nervous when the gates open and I'm all thats between that 310-ft MF drop and the people behind me ... don't know why, just do
I also refuse to ride Wild Cat at CP cause I think it looks like it's going to fall apart ...

Xcelerator and desperado also freaked me out, but goliath was lame.

"Escuse me, can you tell me where the heck the Mystery Lodge is"?
I've been scared by a couple rides in the past year:
1. The first flip on X as you go into the first drop got me all five times.
2. Being pulled up the first spike on Deja Vu was very unnverivg. I wasn't exactly fond of feeling all my weight fall into the restraint.

Drop rides. Just like Kick the Sky said, I can go on any coaster with excitement and little fear. But drop rides scare the crap outta me every single time.
That includes sky coasters (did it once) and the S&S and turbo drop rides.
Although I like the space shot part of the Power Tower, I still don't think I could do the Big Shot on top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead
I agree with Cricket... I've taken several flights on a sky coaster, and my stomach ties in knots EVERY time. The worst part is the slooow 200+ft ascend. Once we start falling I'm fine.
I also still get nervous sitting restrained on an S&S Shot waiting to either launch or drop.
As far as an "unsafe" scare....I was scared several years ago the first time I rode Mindbender at SFoG. It had two loops and NO OTS restraints. Going down the first hill into the loop I had both arms wrapped around the lap bar hanging on as if I would fall out. It took several rides to feel comfortable with the loops.
The only rides now that make me nervous are ferris wheels. I don't like the feeling of a swaying car hundreds of feet above the ground. I read an article about plans for a 600ft ferris wheel somewhere in East Asia.... I would never set foot on that.

Believe it or not, one ride that still gets me is a YoYo that actually "yo's". This swing ride may not look like much from ground level, but once that top tilts to its maximum angle of 10 degrees (I think), the seats tip WAY back on the climb and go flying forward into the swing in front of you with alarming speed on the downswing. It's one of those rides that makes you glad there are seat belts around your chest because it really does feel like you will fall out. Add in the extremely cheap-looking appearance of the ride (well, it is a Chance Ride after all!) and you've got a ride that still scares me even after 20-some years. "Please do not kick the swing in front of you!" Sorry, I can't help it!
A close second would go to any ride that uses a "cage" to hold riders in- aka Roll-O-Plane, Rock-O-Plane, Chance Skydiver, Chance Zipper, etc. I am quite claustrophobic and hate being surrounded by metal on a ride. As long as my car is out in the open, I'm fine. Heck, I can even handle indoor rides like Conneaut's Ultimate Trip. Put me in a cage, and I start to freak out a bit.

Anyone that knows me knows that I do not go near rides that rely on steel cables. I.E. Skyrides, skycoasters, even flyers.
I still have a moment of panic at the top of Drop Zone at PKI. Perhaps that is why I find it the best ride at PKI.
But the scaredest (sp??) I have ever been was on Zamperla's Turbo Force. That thing scared the poo poo out of me. I thought after the initial ride I would be fine, but second time around sealed it for me... The problem I had was sitting at the top for what seemed like hours on end. It shakes, rattles and sways. Oh, And I was just fortunate enough to be on the side that got stopped facing down at the ground. I am sorry, but that little handle they have screwed into the plexiglass side just doesn't cut it when you are terrified and staring at concrete from 150 feet above.
