LG... I admit that quote was quite exemplary wording on your part. What a perfect description of (over-engineered) Nitro. :)

Sounds like my description of Coaster at PNE. Just nasty. ;)

Holy crapola! Sony might be the ultimate destination!

Well for me it doesn't matter all that much because I have *never* ridden a hypercoaster that I haven't liked. B&M and Intamin hypers are both brilliant in their own ways. I've always found B&M hypers to be a bit too creampuff-ish, especially Raging Bull, but knowing that going in, I still enjoy them quite a bit.

As for rankings, SFNE's is my #1, but not by much. Apollo is a close second, followed by Nitro. I love Intamin, but I'm not an ejector air-whore, so for me the smooth floater air provided by B&M's doesn't take away from the fun factor. Besides, MF's speed aside, I find *it* to be the most forceless of them all, and it's an Intamin.... ;)

I am going to have to agree that SFA's S:ROS blows AC out of the water. I liked AC and all, but S:ROS was an awesome experience.

As much as I've tryed to love Nitro the layout is just a little boring to me with it being just mostly flat track with bunny-hops. I love it though so don't get me wrong. Apollo's layout is amazing but I still prefer S:RoS though. It's hard to decide because I haven't ridden them both since early last year so i really can't remember all the details of them.

I just rode Phantom a litttle over a week ago. I thought it was incredible. It's hard to rank them but I think I like Phantom more than Nitro and maybe even S:RoS.

I had rodden both SROS at SFNE and SFDL, SFNE's is lot better than SFDL's. SFDL's have more tame airtimes, but still great coaster. So my guess is that SFA's is about the same since it is mirrored with SFDL's. SFNE's SROS is best of all three SROS, no questions. I never had rodden Nitro, MF, and AC, but I will ride both Nitro and MF this year, so I can share my opinion better later. :)

I have ridden SFNE's S:ROS and SFGADV Nitro and also SFDL S:ROS and i will have to say that SFNE's hyper was the most exciting .

That is hard to admit because i loved Nitro and I really think DL's version of S:ROS is great but SFNE's version kicks major A** in every aspect.

Nitro is very well paced but a little boring. SFDL's S:ROS and SFNE'S S:ROS are great coasters and are very hard to compare to a B&M because they offer very diffrent rides.

Your Park only has 1 good coaster! That's too bad!

Every now and then you're bound to hit a homer. I try. :)

SFgadvMAN mentioned Phantom. Even the Morgan design does more for me than the B&M hypers. Steel Force being a fairly weak hyper (in terms of force) still gives me more than AC or Nitro. I also find it odd that no one has thrown Magnum into the mix yet. Great (potentially painful) ejector air.

I would like to clarify that while I prefer the SFNE version of S:ROS over the SFA version that the SFA coaster has the single greatest airtime moment on it's thrid hill. It's ejector and floter all in one. You get bucked at the top of the hill and then float all the way down. The only "perfect" airtime hill I've had the chance to sample yet. Ejector air is nice and I prefer it over floater air, but combine the two and you have something special.

I have yet to ride Superman New England, I should get my chance this summer so then I will be able to make some comparisons. As for the other Supermans and Apollo, I like the Darien Lake version the best out of the three. Apollo would be my second choice, it does have some great scenery and some very nice drops. Alas however, they are all roller coasters, so they are all great rides.

SFNE's Superman is by far my favorite hyper. ive ridden all 3 Superman's, MF, Nitro, and AC, and SFNE's is my favorite by far. Its got a great layout, amazing airtime, and always has you wanting just 1 more ride.

SFA/SFDL's superman's are great to, but SFNE's is definately the best of the 3.

I have ridden all 3 Rides of Steel. America and Darien Lake are awesome. Every second is just so intense. However, New England is simply amazing. It tops the others, no doubt. I dont know how people can claim Nitro to be a tame coaster- it is indeed intense. That back row- wow. I believe they are all great. New England gets my vote. The other 2 and Nitro, however, arent far behind.
I've ridden SFA Superman and BGW Apollo's Chariot, and Superman blows AC out of the water. The ejector air is pure bliss. The third hill, as Lord Gonchar clearly stated, is something special. It starts with Ejector air, but you end up floating all the way down the backside of the drop. Absolutely Amazing. I'll get another opinion on AC during CoasterCon.

I've yet to ride SROS at SFNE or MF, and I don't know when I will, but I can't wait for it. I don't know if I'm more looking forward to Superman or MF!

Although I fell asleep on the lift (hey, I didn't have much sleep). This ride definintly jumped its way into my favorites. I could not believe the uber airtime I was getting from the hyper. And it feels good to sit in a coaster that for once my feet can't touch the floor. It topped any sixflags ride.
I liked Steel Force much more than you all seemed to like it! I guess I am just a sucker for laterals, and that is the only hyper except maggie that actually gives laterals, so it is in my top 10. And maggie is like in my top 3, just because of the "digital ejector air". And even the lazily engineered S:RoS at SFA, that I loved the air on, but fell asleep on the helixes, is above AC, but hey I rode AC 17 times yesterday, so it is still a great coaster, just way too tame for my liking.

------------------
I hate it when "cooaster enthusiasts" put down coasters. Why can't we just have fun on all of them?

I have rode both rides and I have to downright say the two are equal. S:ROS is a great ride with an awesome layout....AC is just as good with great scenery and awesome air.

-----------------
Yeah my homepark is in Albany, NY but I always have 12 hours to go to The Point!

Wow, I thought MF would be more popular in this thread, and yet SFNE's SROS is very popular along those forums. So I guess that's great.

Jeff, you should make a trip to SFNE someday in the summer if you have time. So you can compare them all. Just a suggestion. :)

I agree with many.....Apollo can't touch SFNE's S:ROS. I liked it way better than any steel out there, SD2K and Fujiyama included.

How trimmed is AC. I just hope they didn't butcher it like Bull. That used to be an awesome experience but it now is just a shadow of its former self.

God bless Intamin, Company that I love. Stand beside her, and ride her, from the opening to the closing of the day.

I was somewhat disapointed with AC, but every ride after that first one made me like it more and more. The night rides are really something. The whole coaster feels like the first two hills of Goliath... not that it is a bad thing. It is one of the most fun coasters I have ever been on.
