Coasterpunk, I presume the funny looking wooden thing on the back was to make sure there was enough clearance for arm waving...if so, why haven't I seen more pictures like this?

My friend "jack" had to sign a contract to never set foot on the property agian. He never did risk going back. I don't think I would take that chance. I would not want to be the person Six Flags makes and example out of.
Corey,

Thanks for verifying. I thought it might have been true but I had just heard stories.

Dave,

How can I forget about seeing the whole Wildcat incident? I was standing right next to you.

GoodBear,

You would be surprised how serious certain parks get when it comes to banning. I can name one park in particular that not only sent out a list of people that were (thankfully) banned, but went as far as letting every single employee in the park know of a certain trouble maker.

A couple of other parks I know have security looking out for trouble makers when they have obviously broken the rules by doing something they shouldn't have. Parks also talk to each other quite a bit when it comes to security and trouble makers.

Sean, You've seen MF valley out my gosh! Honestly of all the full curcuit rides on earth I would say that we be the last one. You must of seen it valley out while going up the 182 foot hill its the only point on the ride were its going what below 45 miles per hour.

Maybe if they'd just take off that darn brake on Mantis first drop, It wouldn't happen?

The trims weren't on. It was an extremely strong gust of wind.

^ IIRC Millennium has rolled back twice. Once on the "Magnum" hill, and the second time on the island.

CP has the worst high-wind problems than any park I know of.

I don't care what you say saw... I don't buy that they hacked out a piece of track. That's like swatting a fly with a sledge hammer. They're smarter than that.

While I agree that it's total overkill, I know what I saw.

Hell, I've even got pictures of the track missing.

Unfortunately I know someone who is banned from Knoebels forever. Not a friend of mine but mu one friends younger brother. He caused enough trouble down there picking fights and what not that all the security guards know him. When they see him they simply escort him out of the park to his car. That was a few years ago I don't know if the ban is still in effect but he wasn't allowed in the park for a while.
I'm chompin' at the bit to see these pictures of Mantis with the missing section of track. :) Post away rOLLocOASt.

Yeah I'd love to see pics of the track removed, as well. Might be the first time any sort of truth came out of his mouth in a long while!

OMG I have a new sig!!!
You can enter the park 100 times after you get a ban put on you and never get caught. Although get in trouble again and its another charge they can put on you. Its really not worth the risk.

Ahhh.....I remember the Mantis rollback. I didn't see it myself, but remember hearing about it from the Mantis crew. It was pre opening day wasn't it? I didn't actually see them remove a piece of track, but that's what I heard from people who were around that early. (better?)

I also distinctly remember a Blue Streak roll back going into the turn around (reason for the anti-roll backs there). Call comes into Raptor controls, "Hey can you move your camera and see if our train is stuck". "Yep, in the turnaround", "OK, thought it had been gone for a while."

No... that's what you heard. No one (other than Corey, allegedly) actually saw a piece of removed track, and there was no evidence of it ever happening on the track itself.

Are you saying Corey isn't a trustworthy person, Jeff?

I'll give rollercoast a week to post the pics of track removed from Mantis...This is all very interesting because the only time i've seen trains stop on a coaster is if they bust a couple bearings in the wheels.

I've been banned from a park for 6 months...Knotts Berry Farm actually, and although I did not dare enter the park, I went to the Chicken Dinner place with a beanie on, haha. I think being arrested is more of a "intimidation" to keep people off the premises, seeing a "banned" person on property has got to be difficult.

Pics rollercoast! Pics!

Yea like how often do these things actually happen.

Wind maybe strong but come on trains on coasters can be thousands of pounds. I would think they would have the park shut down before the winds got that strong.

The only way I can see a train just stop would be if a wheel broke and was sliding on the track.

Gigaforce, it seems pretty incredible that the wind can stop a train, but it can. During test runs in the morning, Raptor barely coasts through the block in strong winds. Once people are on board, it can take a lot more wind. It was something like sustained winds over 25 or gusts over 40 meant we didn't start testing right away.

Hey rentzy17, can I get at least $5 if I produce a pic of X with a section of track cut out?
