The best, and most practical idea (in my humble opinion) would have to be the Aeroplane coaster. First of all, it's homepark is still around. Second of all, it needs a solid coaster like the Aeroplane to anchor family support. Third, has anyone here noticed the location of the Aeroplane coaster and its layout? They would only have to do 3 things:
1. Get rid of the Hurricane. If any of you have been on it, you would know this is a great idea. It never has a line.
2. Move the Power Surge. I bet there is some other part of the park they could move this ride to.
3. Shorten the Miniature train. Or better yet, if there's room, build part of it under the Aeroplane coaster, like with Knoebel's Twister.
The final practical thing about the Aeroplane coaster is that its technology is currently in use. If they contacted GCI and got them to use their Millenium Flyer trains, I bet it would be almost as good as the original.
I say we should pool the money together. Come on, 5 million dollars is nothing, right?

105 coasters, and the Cyclone still tops 'em all.
Any coaster at the small parks in PA. I was on a site that listed all the defunct parks in PA, and to my surprise there were about 10 within 50 miles of me. I live about 20 minutes west of Knoebels, so I'd imagine those parks would have also been some small "competition."

87 different coasters for this year and counting... 149 total!
Remember Marimba guy that even 50 years ago peoples' worlds were very small. To travel at all would have been a big deal, especially in the mountains of PA.
Those parks didn't have as much competition as you would think.

All I need is 4.5 million bucks and a half a mile long sliver of land and maybe someone could build me my very own Shivering Timbers. ;)

If you build it, they will come!

The Flying Turns, Thriller and Racer at Euclid Beach.
I have to agree with Woody. With all of the "legend" these rides have surrounding them, and from all the videos and books I've seen of Euclid Beach, these are the rides I'd love to see resurrected most. If I had to pick just one though, I'd probably pick the Flying Turns. It was a constant series of downhill figure-eights and it looked like there were NO trim brakes along the course. Oh my!

You can hear the laughter, you can hear the mighty roar. From the brickyard down in Indy to the white Chicago shore. It's a rollin', twistin', turnin' and might we both suggest. You get you fanny ridin' on the Cornball Express!
