Sweet mother of god! Discusting. And that to happen at Six Flags Marine World is just not possible. I love visiting the park. It's clean and you can have a good-o-time there.

Um Stealth, unfortunately this kind of thing can happen anywhere. This is not a knock on SFMW, just a sick person.

But you got to admit, publicity wise, this has been a horrible year for SFMW. First the Starfish accident last spring, then the Monkey Business death last month, now this! Sure all these things could happen anywhere, but it all makes the park look bad in the eyes of the GP nontheless.

Why must their be sick people in the world?  And why must they go to amusement parks?  Oh well.

I wouldn't say it's been a horrible year at all. None of the recent accidents have not been found to be the park's fault, and the suspect *was* arrested. The park also is on pace to outdraw last year's attendance. I'm sure they don't want this negative publicity, but it seems to come with the *media* territory now a days. I agree with Draco- it has been a horrible year in the eyes of the public for amusement parks. There have been a signifigant increase in the number of injuries and problems with rides.

As for the sex offender.. they go where the targets are.. they are all over, this one just happened to get caught at a park.

Hopefully all this new information will be used to correct any issues that need, and become a catalyst for accurate data collecting.

I hope the amount of trouble begins to decrease..
and we see less injury.

People are smart enough to know they are usually safe at parks, otherwise they wouldn't go. It's no different than any other facet of life. I'm concerned about increaced reckless driving, but i'm not giving up my car. *** This post was edited by DWeaver on 8/21/2001. ***

I was there on Saturday, but they must've nabbed this sicko in the afternoon, after I had left the park.  I didn't see anything unusual going on.  I'm glad they found and arrested this freak, there are some sick people out there.

They let him off too easy.

The reason you probably didn't see it is because more than likely, they were very quiet about nabbing him. I doubt they had helicopters, swat team and a parade to announce it..

It's a knock on the whole area.  The Bay area is littered with perves.  The local government makes it even easier on them by passing every liberal agenda available to them.  I wish California would split north and south.  The we in Southern Cal would simply be the land of nuts, rather than being grouped with all the fruits in Northern Cal.
