Red, White, and Blue Top Hat at CP??

Tuesday, October 8, 2002 7:09 AM
One of the newest photos on CP's midway page shows a track section going from red to white in color. Wouldnt it be cool if the 400' Top Hat was Red, White, and Blue. What a patriotic thing to do. Worlds tallest coasters in the colors of the USA.

Yep, that's the rumor that has been going around everywhere, a Giant Flag basically. No one knows yet since no Blue Track has arrived. But only a few can guess ;) Any time now...

Hmmm.... Iron Dragon, red and white. Corkscrew, blue and white. Mantis, yellow, blue, red and green. Magnum, red and silver. MForce, Blue and Silver

And now the ? coaster is red, white and yellow with *possible* blue.

Man, CP sure makes use of the entire color wheel! LOL

I mean, where is the fuscia, or the brown, or scarlet, or black or ochre or peach or ruby or olive or violet or fawn or lilac or gold or chocolate or mauve or cream or crimson or silver or gold or azure or lemon or russet or grey or purple or pink or orange? ;-)

I doubt that cp will go for the red white and blue. red, yellow, and white are enough. And if they do put in blue, lets add some purple for the mountains majesty! (jk)

DONT SCREW WITH THE SKYLINE BY MAKING IT ALL HIPPIE-ISH cp!

Shaggy actually I know where that is from. I had to memorize that color sequence in high school when we did the musical. I was Naphtali (4th son mentioned, but like the 9th son actually born...)

Hee hee... I was wondering if anyone would get the tie-in... It is one of my favorite shows. Highly underrated.

My favorite line is actually: "All these things you saw in your pajamas, are a long-range forcast for your farmers."

Hee hee!

Rueben was the eldest of the children of Israel, with Simeon and Levi the next in line, Naphtali and Issacar and Asher and Dan, Zublen and Gad took the total to nine....... Jacob, Jacob and Sons.... Benjamin and Judah which leaves only one.... Jacob, Jacob and Sons, Joseph - Jacob's favorite son....

Maybe the trains will be the blue portion of the ride. Just a thought. I'm also wondering if the silver/gray supports under the pull-in/pull-out will be painted yellow like the main structure that is up now...or some other color.

Edit: wait... maybe they are already painted white. They look to be a different shade in different pics, depending on the lighting, etc. etc. Hmmmm, I think this new coaster is making me colorblind. Ha. http://www.guidetothepoint.com/content.aspx?channel=1&NewsID=279 (second pic)

I doubt the supports would be painted any color other than the color they were delivered as. Think about it, which would be less costly, to paint the supports on the ground, in the shop or to hang a man, ass to the wind 2, 3, 4 hundred feet in the air with a paint gun?

it looks as if the track supports are going to be white and only the tower for the top hat is yellow. CP's virtual midway page http://www.virtualmidway.com/mystery/default_p2.asp

has put a ton of new pics up today. you can see all this in those pictures. Could be red track with white supports and blue cars. who nkows, just wait and see. tell you one thing, that is one big as#% crane.

I believe the red, white and blue track thing began when Jeff mentioned something about blue track also at GTTP way back when the first pieces arrived. That alone makes it worth considering.

Okay..so there are pictures of track showing a red/white change...How do we go from that point to "this one has the white track supports already in place entering the top hat in the background"

How do you know where the pieces are going to be placed?!?!

Look for news later this season.

Does this mean we may be getting an announcment within the next few weeks? I know many have said that we will have to wait until after the season is finished but by the looks of this sign, we may find out sooner than that.

Those signs have been up for a longgg time. I know someone on these boards would know exactly when but it has been a few months. I don't even know about the announcement, It doesn't matter to me though, as long as they don't wait tooo long. We all pretty much know what it is.

I wasnt saying i know that, i was just showing that the track has white supports in place, supporting the RED track. The only Yellow supports are in the Top Hat area, from what i can see for now. I dont have any idea what the color scheme is, no one will till it is done. I just hope that the tallest coaster in the world has the color scheme of Red, White, and Blue. It would be a great patriotic symbol.

I think an anouncement will be soon. I just got the Funtimes e-mail and it says the new thrill ride will be announced at a later date. I wonder if this means an announcement will be soon.
