Red Evil Being Renamed

Dragon with lapbars WOULD have been *at least* tolerable. The asmount of abuse I took from the OTSR's landed the ride in the "unacceptably painful" category...for me.

Lapbars would NOT turn the ride into something great...but they likely would improve the ride enough to warrant KEEPING it.

Hopefully "Red Evil" will prove to be better than THAT...LOL! :)

I should wait to judge a Hopkins coaster until after I ride one but it's hard to ignore all the bad stuff that's said about the rides- how could one NOT be underwhelmed at the idea of riding one. It's the opposite of what happened with CCI- with all the good stuff being said about their rides, how could anyone that hadn't ridden one of their rides not been excited about giving one a try?

It's not fair, but then again, that's sometimes the way things go. Innocent until proven guilty, or guilty until proven innocent? Should be the former but the latter ends up being true.

I entered Buck Mountain Bullet. Just sounded cool to me at the time...........

And BTW, what Intamin coasters have had fatal incidents on them, Rob? *** Edited 2/16/2007 4:55:40 AM UTC by DantheCoasterman***

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!
Those swings look awesome! It is probably the most terrifying ride in the park! Imagine holding on for life, hoping that the chains don't snap and that it was inspected right!
The Red Devil didn't have OTSR and that was one of my favorite things about it. I hope they keep trains without the hoarse collars, I love going upsidedown while being able to freely and comfortably able to put my hands up. Besides I am sure a lot of the bumpiness will go away once they repair the old metal pieces and get new trains.
