Really Long Threads

Today a thread went to Page 6, and unlike most threads that go that far, I was still interested.

On Page 5, the links for other pages in the thread were:

1 2 3 4 [5] ...

To advance to the 6th page, of course, one clicks on the "...". But I submit that it isn't necessarily intuitively obvious.

Should the fifth page of a 6-page thread not give the options...

2 3 4 [5] 6

or perhaps...

... 2 3 4 [5] 6

...and if it goes to 7, perhaps even...

... 2 3 4 [5] 6 ...

Just a thought...!

This is the way ASP.Net's DataGrid control works. It's convenient because it requires zero extra work on my part to generate it.

The next version I've built my own pager, were at least for the moment it will print a number for every page. Not sure if I'll keep it like that, and I can certainly always change it.

What time does the water show start?

I don't care how the internals work, I care how it ought to be! :)

Works good either way. Each forum-site needs an individual look and how Jeff has it here, things fit fine, no need to change.
