RCT 2 ON WINDOWS VISTA

Major pissers I've discovered in the last few days include:

1 Place trees near the park boundary and they appear outside the park as well

2 Many small scenery items from rct 2 not included

3 Must train employs to keep them happy or they quit their jobs

4 Land tool is a beyotch

5 Can't see thru scenery without making rides/shops invisible too

I know the game is a couple years old now but I just got a computer that can hndle it so I'm just now discovering these quirks. My RCT2 works now too so I can build in 2D and ride in 3D.

Yeah, have fun finding those. (rolleyes)

Had to look at the games section to see when my last upload was - Sept of 2005. I've probably played the game a handful of times since.

I uninstalled it shortly after the last expansion came out and I realized nothing could save the severe lack of fun RCT3 delivers.

RCT is, hands-down, the best game in the series. It improves upon the original but is without the flaws of RCT3.

That said, is anyone running RCT3 on Vista? How is it? I seriously upgraded my home computer and installed Vista, plus I have a new laptop running Vista? Any comments so far?

RCT improves on RCT?

I just tried installing it on Vista, and while it might be my graphics card, the game did not display correctly at all. It's like I was looking at everything with very thick sunglasses on.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!
I meant RCT2 improves on RCT!

That sucks about Vista... what kind of graphics card do you have? I have a G-Force 7600 with 512 RAM. AFAIK, it's pretty good for most games.

It runs fine on my vista and I got rct 2 running as well.

Has anyone ever seen this? I was messing around with the water slides from soaked and designed one to drop guests in a neaby lake. They don't drown but swim around flailing away. Anyway it was raining and I saw a school of fish in the lake! To top it off I swear the ducks were hunting them.

The ducks were hunting the fish or the people not-quite-drowning in the lake? ;)

Not a real one. At least, not yet, I just got my comp four days ago; I'll need to get a nice graphics card soon. On my old laptop, I had XP running on an ATi Radeon 9000, and RCT3 ran fine (but slow).

Here is what mine looks like. Sad times.

Anybody else seen the fish? Oh and Rob, hahahahahaha. Want more laughs? Try making a water/body slide with no pool at the end. Guests slide along the concrete. Also you can shoot them from the helicopter in Wild. The tranquilizer dart knocks out the animals but only makes the guests dizzy for a second.
I'll have to try that waterslide onto concrete thing. Thanks!

I wonder why humans are immune to the tranquilizer? Must be some pretty weak animals.

They aren't immune but they only get dizzy.

Those fish are cool. Sometimes you can see them from the submarine ride.

If a guests lands outside the water park/pool complex, when they get up they are in regular clothes and not their swimsuits. Your slide will close afterwards just like a coaster that crashes.

In my eyes, getting dizzy from a tranquilizer means you're more or less immune to the stuff!
Ok I've seen another unusual animal along with the fish. There was a large black bird flying around the park. It wasn't a duck and sounded different than the ducks when I clicked on it. I think it may have been a crow. Anyone seen these?
