RC Rollback RIpped Off

Just thought I'd bring to attention that your RC rollback has been copied word for word http://www.rollercoaster.com/resources/almanac/

As far as I know it could be with permission, or written by the same person, but I was surprised to see a word for word copy.

It is the same thing, and both are from the data maintained by Dave "Rideman" Althoff, Jr.

I do find it hilarious that WoC is "up" again. Should've sold the domain when domains were still worth something so something worhtwhile could've been done with it.

Good to know....just didn't want someone's hard work copied.

Agreed. I imagine that the domain could have been sold for a fortune not too long ago. WOC was a great site "back in the day". It would appear that it has a ways to go yet to be a competitive site!

Question is, which version is the most current?

Updated versions are posted to rec.roller-coaster on a regular basis, as has always been the case, and periodically I send Jeff updated versions for his database, although because he's using Microsoft's SQL he has to remember to take out the earliest entry 'cause MSSQL can't handle a date in the 15th century...

World of Coasters was the original web 'home' for the Roller Coaster Almanac...in fact it was one of the first bits of content added to the WoC...and when the WoC closed, the Almanac's web home moved here to CoasterBuzz and became the Rollback. Oh, sure, you can find a basic text version on my site, but if you go to [url=http://capital2.capital.edu/admin-staff/dalthoff/almanac.html" target="_blank">the Almanac page on my site you'll see that there is a CoasterBuzz Rollback Wire item, and links back to CoasterBuzz...the only version I keep on my site is the 'original' full text version.
