Raven Re-Opens Sat. June 7.

You go right ahead and point fingers there, hassenfeffer. You're pointing fingers at me too. I, like many people, have taken unnecessary risks on coasters, but I have changed because of the events at HW. If it makes you feel better about yourself to place blame on this person who JUST like many of us took too much of a risk and paid the ultimate price. Go ahead and place blame on someone who CLEARLY had no malice in her heart, but was just trying to have fun. Do you think that she would be thrilled that this worked out this way that that *rolls eyes* she's cause you to have to ride your little coasters in a different manner?

For someone who cries foul about people circumventing safety procedures, you sure are worried about how this will AFFECT YOUR future rides. Grow up. People's lives will always take precedence over your hobby.

In an effort for this not to become a flame fest, I invite to you IM me and we can discuss this further if you want. I'd love to hear your thoughts on me directly, because at one point or another, I wanted a 2 click ride. Thanks and take care now!!! :)

Coaster Insomniacs

I couldn't disagree more. I don't think it's selfish at all to worry about the future of coaster events and be concered with Holiday World itself, not to mention their staff.

It is on the other hand, a very selfish thing for someone to unbuckle their seatbelt and stand up. It showed a lack of respect for Holiday World, her fianace, and yes..even her family. Why would you do something that puts your loved ones' feelings (not to mention yourself) at risk? I can only come to the selfish answer.

It's a sad event, but wrong is wrong. I will not be an appologist for someone who defeats restraints on purpose any more then I would be for a bank robber who gets killed in a hold up. In both cases I feel bad for the familes left behind, but not much for the person who put themselves in that situation to begin with.

Oh..and Robocoaster... I have to say that I feel you are the one who is thinking wrong about this. I wouldn't classify something done on purpose an accident. Personal responsibility HAS to account for something. Sorry, but I'm not going to feel the same for someone that stands up on purpose vs. a person who's restraint failed. (THAT would be an accident). I feel like you are equating the two. They are not the same thing.

I am more mad then sad. Mad that this person would make so many others, especially the good folks at Holiday World, go through so much trauma. Mad that this person would give enthusiast a bad name. Mad that this put a damper on what should have been a happy occasion. Mad that it may affect the mood at other events. Mad that one person's selfishness has already resulted in one event being cancelled

Justify it and applogize all you want, it won't change anything...facts are facts. The person who undid her seatbelt and stood up was the one being selfish and inconsiderate.

Then don't be an appologist, or an apologist either. But you're drawing parallels to a coaster enthusiast trying to have fun and someone commiting a bank robbery just flushed your whole argument and THUSLY any worth that your post might have had.

A person is dead. Be mad, be sad. I don't really care about you and your feelings.

According to you... MAD THAT THIS put a damper on what SHOULD have been a happy occasion? Moron, that was one of the most fun times of my entire life. The coaster community pulled together over this tragedy. You continue to make statements about something you know nothing about because you weren't there.

I bet you are like one of those people who were standing in line to get your money back after the announcement. Jobber.

I grow very tired of people who are disrespectful toward the deceased. Watch yourselves.
