Raptor: Talon's older brother

Wow. I never imagined Talon would have such a following.

I went to DP last year, and while I had fun, at that time I was kind of indifferent towards going again.  Other than Steel Force I didn't feel like there was much reason to go.  (Sorry folks, but DP's woodies need some SERIOUS help).

Then along came Talon.  It is an amazing coaster like Raptor, but for different reasons.  Talon's tight and compact layout make it very exciting.  Not to mention how QUIET and smooth this ride is.  Nearly freaky to a point.

I can't wait until next summer.... I might have to put in an "All-Talon" day :)

TiggerMan, I've been to DP only one time, so my take on ThunderHawk may not be based on a truly representative day...of course, I did ride it about 5-6 times, in various seats, and found it to be excellent (somehow, I only rode Herc twice...).  Before PPP, I was excited about my first Morgan - after PPP, I was WAY more excited about my first two Schmecks...

Thunderhawk is the hidden gem at Dorney, in my opinion, even moreso than Talon.  During this past summer's CoasterCon I managed a total of 20 laps on it, and I LOVED it.  Not the biggest, not the best, but damn good, easily the best wood between Cedar Point and Dorney... (not that it's too difficult to get that honor when the competition is Hercules, Mean Streak, and Blue Streak ;) )

Talon boring? Well, like Jeff said... its all personal opinion. I would just like to know if you consider Talon boring, what exactly do you consider exciting?

There is some weird line drawn here in eastern and central PA. If you want great wood, go to Knoebels with Phoenix and Twister. If you want great steel go to Dorney with Talon and Steel Force. If you can't make up your mind, or you can't make up your mind, or you want a little of both (exceptional, if not great wood, exceptional if not great steel), go in between and go to Hershey with Comet, Lightning Racer, Wildcat, and Great Bear.

I LOVE Talon,  it is as good as Raptor, except Talon seems more 'sporty' like very quick with nice turns. Has any one noticed that Talons & Raptors train schemes are the same pattern but different colors? Same with the track and station, too similar to be a coincidence.
