SFST probably wont get a Hypercoaster. One of the main reasons is not enough land. The Hurricane Harbor (which i though should be relocated to another area of the park) was the main reason. It took up alot of space that Six Flags could have expanded next to the Batman. They need a Hyper though.

MrFreeze_Freak,

SFStL has plenty of land left for a hyper and lots of other expansions. The park occupies 130 acres of a 500-acre site. (1)

Personally I would like to see the park add a few flat rides over the next couple of years.

To settle the parks land area and where its at here on the following link is a picture (all though crappy one) that shows what the park owns in the form of land. You'll notic the parks land is divided up by a road that road is located jsut behind lions choice. There is 5 to 6 Houses back there that would need too be bought out in order for the park too develop some 200+ acers..

Sorry i didn't know that.
Don't expect anything. My hometown park, World's of Fun, has been rumored to get a woodie for the las 3-4 years and nothing has happened. Don't get your hopes up just yet.

I have heard that WOF is planning something big for their 30th. Also Cedar Fair apparently has an every other year rule for installing coasters and this offseason will be one of those every other years. Since they screwed us with that piece of crap Boomerang last time around I think these rumors could have some truth to them. I doubt it will be a woodie, we need something that will draw more out of towners, like an inverted or something even better.

BTW what do you think of Thunderhawk?

Excuse me Offtopic Mcgee, please stick to the discussion before it strays from the topic of SFStL

Thanks

Thunderhawk is a decent ride, but I definitely preferred Omegatron. I agree, I think WOF needs an inverted or a floorless. I went there a couple of months ago and they have plenty of room for a new attraction back behind Zulu where "The Plunge" used to be.
