Hey first Jeff, I understand now on why you deleted that apology! Second, what are the proposed rumors for future attractions at Six Flags St. Louis? There seem to be many of them going around up this way, that I wanted to see what everyone thinks they are. Also what do you think they SHOULD get, in your own opinion??

Don't mean to be picky, but what is a proposed rumor? Is there some kind of application process a rumor must go through before it is spread? A simple 2/3 majority vote?
I know what SaxPlayer meant, but it just sounded kind of funny.

WCUSA-The World's largest theme park is coming!
Theme parks will NEVER be the same!
That would be awesome.

I've heard the same rumors for the past few years now... hyper and drop tower (and recently, I've seen the hyper replaced by a multi-inversion Intamin) so I won't be holding my breath for anything... (the Intamin would be great, however... I'm counting on Chris to make it come true...)
Rumor also has it that the park brought in a used flat ride (what sounded like the old Omegatron from Worlds of Fun) and that there was an Intamin 1st generation drop tower in the graveyard that they were going to put in.

Well, last September when I went to the park to meet with Intamin, they were signing the contracts for two things.. An Intamin gyrodrop and the Intamin megacoaster(as they call it). The prints I saw where not colored, but they told me it was gonna be yellow with red supports. I said "hey, those are the colors of THE FLASH".. they looked at me and winked.... :) I made the layout on SM and NL from the prints I saw and then almost 3 months later, SFH releases their Goliath layout.. pretty much a mirror image of what I saw but shorter... coincidence.. I THINK NOT!!
Now, that was last september and things could have changed.. Since the hyper location to be near the Tidal Wave, a Goliath themed ride fits well.
On my season pass processing trip, my contact told me that they were waiting on the final go ahead from SF after their attendance figures from the first 60 days were in. If the increase was there, BOTH projects were a go. I also heard the colors were similar to SFH's Goliath.

Doesn't it seem as though morons always have the caps lock on?
Why does someone who has meetings with Intamin need to have a season pass? Wouldn't you get some sort of VIP/Industry Player hook up?
Just curious.

I'm not trying to be a rabble rouser, but Chris, you're a shameless name-dropper. I have yet to see any of your predictions come true.-------------

I can second that an Intiman hyper for Six Flags St. Louis was in proposal at a confrence this winter.

Yeah there really is a ride simulare too Omegatron sitting in the grave yard(but its not its bigger and I belive been there for awhile) just look too your right, while goign up ninjas hill. Also As of last Nov. the stupied First gen. drop tower was still there. But I seriously wouldnt count on any of those two rides going in.
As far as next year is concerned the park wants something they jsut dont know what they want and what they can get as of yet. Its up too manegment (were in trouble) and park attendence and Per Cap it seems (which both have been better then last year it seems).

And we will repeat again.... (News from upper management there will soon be (how soon? We don't know yet.) an S&S turbo drop on the hill by the Screamin Eagle. (is what they are pushing for) As far as coasters, look for something smaller like maybe a floorless. And again this is from upper management. (As far as the hyper goes, their reply was "Nice wish") ).
Also on news on Mr. Freeze...... the second train is here and running but the first train is having problems and is not, I repeat, not running right now. The first train is, and we have seen with our own eyes, in the maintenance dock for repairs. We know this for a fact.
There is also a new sling shot type ride in front of the old Chevy Show building. Not open yet!!!!!!

I bought a SF season pass for the first time this year for two reasons...
1.) To help support SFSTL and help increase their numbers. I had several of my friends get season passes also this season for the first time.
2.) Because I am going to several SF parks this summer back to back and a Season pass makes sense. I am in the industry, but I dont have contacts in every park. I also do go to the parks unnanounced for research purposes and for vacations.
As for the none of my "predictions" coming true.. Well, you might want to look back at some of my past posts, particularly in the late summer/early fall months. I made posts about Xcelerator, Batman Knight Flight, the V2 changes, Superman-Ultimate Flight, and others. I dont make "predictions". I simply relay information that I receive. Not all of what I hear happens, I admit that. But I am not always privy to "upper management" decisions. My posts are not meant to be the word of God. They are simply my "opinons". If you dont agree with them, that is YOUR CALL, not mine! :) The choice dear boy, is yours ( a little Star Wars reference:) )

The slingshot was "testing" Monday afternoon (they were letting employees ride, not park guests). It does not look like it will be permanent.
As far as new coasters, isn't SFStL supposed to get that launched, inverted, hyper woodie...
And much more important news... the mechanical bull is back!!!!!
The slingshot is temporary-they're seeing how much business it gets so they can decide if they want a permanent one.
Sorry kip099, we're not getting that launched, inverted hyper woodie-they can't make a decision on who would provide the trains :-(
Instead, they've decided to use the money to produce merchandise that actually has the park's name on it! *gasp!* hehehe
