Proof that Geauga Lake once had a Wild Mouse

The Big Dipper was indeed called the Clipper for a while. Though, I would need to find a link for it, there is a postcard to prove it..... The card was being auctioned off by the same person auctioning off the other GL postcards

Seems like every time I wanna bid on some cool old GL items, there's always that johnpeckdesign guy already there.  (and there's my pesky policy about not bidding against people I know.)

Have a scanner?

I especially like collecting things from the Funtime days, before the whole Premier thing.  I got a shot glass, some clothing, etc.

I never went to GL before I started working for Kennywood 12 years ago.  We have a reciprocal agreement that we get in free to each other's parks.  (6FWoA has kept up this agreement.) I went out just for a cheap date with a KP chick.  I really liked the place, though, and have gone back a couple times a year every year since.  (You'd be surprised how hard it is to go to parks when you work at one.)  I'm not really sure why, but for some reason I'm nostalgic about the funtime days.  The rides are better now, the place is brighter and more modern, but it's so corporate... it just seems to be missing something.

Anyhow, I also got the New Order substance videos off of Half.com the other day... have you ever seen the "Touched by the Hand Of God" video?  It's hilarious!  Gillian in fishnets is great.

OKAY........History Check:
I was WRONG about the "Meyers Lake" name. (crap!)
In the early days, dating back to the late 1800's (1890's) The park went under two names:
1: Picnic Lake and 2: Giles Pond

It was Giles Pond that I was mistaken on. You may now all go throw your rocks, but I bruise.
