IF THIS LINK DOES NOT WORK:
Go to www.ebay.com Search: Geauga Lake:
The item is near the bottom and called: Geauga Lake Aurora OH Monorail PC
For all of you that are wondering, this is one of several defunct coasters at GL. The Pinfari Galaxi (known as CYCLONE) was removed in 1980 and sent to Holiday World, and the the Arrow Corkscrew removed in 1995 and sent overseas.

There is NoLimit when it comes to Roller Coasters
Now here's where I lose everyones repect: I am only 99% sure thats exactly what it said. I need to take a trip up to Cleveland to search for it at my parents house, which i still have there someplace.
No, I NEVER thought of you accusing me, I was very aware of the Meyers Lake in Canton for many years, and I know how weird my claim sounded even before I mentioned it in another forum.
But like I said, I do want to be as percise on this post as I can, so hopefully I can retreive my proof when I go home again....at least for MY closure. :)
Now, another interesting bit of info about Geauga Lake history, is on the site of the Juke Box Cafe, is where the old swimming pool was. I hear the swimming pool is now the basement (drained of course) In that pool is where Johnny Wissummer (SP) (the 1930's actor for TARZAN) broke a world record swimming laps in.
Also, once that mouse was removed, an Eyerly Loop-O-Plane and a Hubritz Round-Up were put in its place
Now as for rides and such, about a year ago, I won a 1978 brochure (the first year of Corkscrew) on EBAY. In a photograph of the Big Dipper (looking at the lift from the space spiral) you can see a Yellow Loop-O-plane and a Round-up behind the support structure.
There are also some great photos here:

Not to doubt you at all (your knowledge on the park is exceptional!)... but wasn't the Round-Up located next to the Calypso near the front of the park? I'm sure it could have been relocated as many of GL's rides were... but for some reason I always remember the Round-Up being in the "circle of rides" which featured the Musik Express (new in 1977), Calypso, Round-Up, Tilt-A-Whirl, Paratrooper, Caterpillar and Matterhorn.
The Loop-O-Plane was referred to by many locals as the "Dutch Shoes". I never rode it while it was at the park.
I found an old picture of the Big Dipper which features a bunch of cars parked outside of it and a "Geauga Lake Park" sign above where the walkway to Shipwreck Falls currently is. I am assuming that used to be the park entrance.
ProgRay (who wishes he still had his GL Plain Dealer "advertising supplements" from 76, 77, and 78)
The Musik Express was actually the second of the Express rides. They first bought a Riverchon Himilaya (SFKK has one) but soon replaced it with the Mack Musik Express

Actualy his name is spelled HJohny Weissmuller he set the record for the 220-yard free style in 1926.
I too have more sources but Im gonna leave you all in suspense.:)
The Big Dipper was never called the Clipper(according to my sources) it was once called the "Shooting Sky Rocket Coaster".
In 1920 they had an Automobile Ride. Not the Merry Oldies this is a different one. This one was called Auto Speedway and cost 10 cents for one ride.
The Recreation Arcade was dead in fron of the Big Dipper or I should say SSRCoaster in this pic Im looking at.
The park was started in 1872. It was sarted as a camping, fishing, and picknicking site at first. Also as a trolley park. Thats all I know so far.
And GL is John's his home park, so he better know it inside and out!
