I have been spordically attempting to post a Trip Report to the Trip Reports forum for the last three days, every time I attempt to, I tpye a message, subject, username and password, check the email notification box, and press Submit New Topic. Coasterbuzz, sort of looks at it and thinks about it for some time, then decides to Error 500 (Internal Server Error)
BTW: I have tried leaving the email checkbox blank....
As posting this, I presume, calls the same script, odds are this won't get seen either.

In your Internet Options (IE), uncheck the box in the advanced tab that says "show friendly HTTP messages." That should give you a more detailed error that I can track.

Gotcha, I told IE to be unfriendly, tired again and got:
Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0113'
Script timed out
/forums/add.asp
The maximum amount of time for a script to execute was exceeded. You can change this limit by specifying a new value for the property Server.ScriptTimeout or by changing the value in the IIS administration tools

It appears that it posts a header in the forum, but the actual post isn't there, so I'm afraid you might want to do a little tidying up in the TR forum.

Interesting... I can't say I've seen that before. I've posted books before without a problem.
What I would suggest, for now, is to post the first part, then post the rest as a reply.
