Pride Night?

I hope this isn't an inappropriate question...Are any "buzzers" planning on going to Pride Night at Kings Island? It would be cool to meet other "family" which are into coasters as much as I am!

Yep!! Me and my partner will be there...then probably at 'The Serpent' afterwards!

Gay Pride this time of year? You guys are lucky.

In Houston we like to celebrate in the absolute hottest time of the summer so it is 105% degrees outside during the parade. *** Edited 8/30/2005 8:51:45 PM UTC by Markieb***

Gay Pride is in June here as well. Pride Night is something completely different. Its a park buy-out private party.

Ah smart going. Our park event was held at the same time of the year as Pride (JUNE) and cancelled because of participation. Go figure..It was too damn hot!!!! Have fun!

Here in New England it's "Out in the Park" and its in the middle of September although pride is in June.

It's good that it is in Sept because it is less crowded and it is NOT a buyout (unfortunately). Though by having the event that late the waterpark is already closed.

when is it? I go to school down there and might be able to go (if im not too poor)

Yeah and the one at KI is on a Friday Night- I love nighttime in the parks. From what I've heard (I'm new to Ohio and have never been to this event) they have 95% of the rides running and there is never more than a 1-2 train wait for anything.

The 5-10% of the rides that are closed are the kids only rides, though I heard last year the Scooby Doo Dark Ride was closed as well- which will piss me off because I love dark rides and fail to see why so many parks have none at all!!!! Also I want to see if it is identical to PCWonderland

BTW, it is the last Friday in Sept. Sept 30th if my calander isn't f+++ed up again. *** Edited 8/30/2005 9:44:37 PM UTC by BrownStreak***

I've been there for the last few years...I usually turn it into a weekend trip. It's a very good time! You can actually be yourself and feel comfortable. It's well worth the money and you meet tons of great people. =)
Does anyone know what hours the park is open for the event? Is it all day and closes later than normal park hours? Do most out of towners stay at the host hotel? Sounds like a blast!
Check the link I posted above for all the details. It's a private (closed to the general public) event on Friday Sept 30 from 6pm to midnight. There is an official hotel link on the site, but it doesn't have a hotel listed yet. The site also has information on how to order tickets online. *** Edited 8/31/2005 5:06:41 PM UTC by ToledoDan***

I refuse to go to the Pride Night (or whatever it's called) at SFGAdv. Not because I don't enjoy "being with family", but mostly because the organization that does it, Twisted Life or something like that, doesn't offer any discount for people with season passes to the park. I'm not paying $50 to ride rides I can ride any time I want already. If it were just a regular "day" like most other parks, I would certainly go.

Heck it's the same reason I never went to circuit parties - why pay $50 for music, dancing, and attitude when I can get it for free at a club? ;)

I have more than once thought about attempting to found a club called the L.I.F.T. Dogs (Leathermen Into Fast Thrills). :)
