Prayers almost answered

We came this close to getting one of our coaster prayers answered, lol.

Spontaneous coaster combustion?

"Please, just let me burn, I can't go on like this any more" ;)

Darn it! So close!
I was there today too, I would've gotten to see the greatest day in KI history!!!!!

darn!

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Good thing it did not burn down. I want to ride it some day.

I can take the pain.

Roller coaster fires have happened in the past. Does anyone out there remember the burning of the Idora Wildcat? That disaster sealed the fate of the once popular eastern Ohio park.

Hamster, I suggest you getting there sooner rather than later if you REALLY want that mugging. I just can't see Cedar Fair putting up with the maintenance costs on that nightmare for very long. (See also: Hercules)

"You seem healthy. So much for voodoo."

You people are harsh, haha
I agree with you GregLeg. I have to get down there and get some rides on it.

Next weekend finally for me.

Let's shoot us some deer Joe Joe!!!!

Wow! That's pretty scarey! I wouldn't mind it burning down, but I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt.

So close, yet so far away. Only time will tell the fate of that coaster.

I'd rather be riding Roller Coasters....or baking.

Weird. I rode it yesterday morning and I never noticed it down throughout the day. I guess I never looked over there at the right time.

On a side note, SOB has improved some with the retracking. It now seems to be a different kind of rough. Before it would throw you every which way, but now it seems more controlled. Really my only big problem with it now is that my restraint kept getting tighter and tighter as the ride went on until it was squishing me.

Thanks for the info MrPKI. Did they remove the last car of the trains or was that just a rumor?

Yep the last car is gone now. They've got the queue gates for it blocked off too. I guess if that improves the ride, then it's fine with me that they did that although it does reduce capcity by 6.
According to some of the folks over at PKICentral, it was the Beast that had a little fire problem, not SOB. You can read about it in this thread. http://www.pkicentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7514.

Well isn't that interesting? Sins of the Father or something.....;) So the last car removal was to improve the ride experience?

Wow, that's too bad...

that it didn't burn down!

Son of Beast is THE only coaster I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ride again.

Certain victory.

I don't personally see why everyone hates it so much. Yes it hurts, and yes it's definately one of the roughest coasters that I have ever been on, but it's a wooden coaster, and a giant at that. If you think it's too painful, like most of you are saying, stay out of the line so the people that want to experience it can without you all trashing the thing. It's definately not the most painful experience that I've ever had on a coaster, and I can guarantee that.

No man is an island, but I hear if you tie a bunch of dead guys together they make a pretty good raft.
