PPP

Thanks, I guess. We don't have a state budget but we're coming back in style. Sweet.

80's fashion is coming back. PA is so out that they're almost in again.

How true Gonch. Half of my daughter's wardrobe looks like it came straight from MTV circa 1985.

It's true. From time to time I still break out the leg warmers and jelly bracelets and wear my hair as big and feathery as possible. :)

Break out the Aquanet and the black Firebird with T - Tops! A certain song by Aqua comes to mind - "Back to the 80's"

I feel like breaking out the walkman and hair metal T-shirts! I also feel like ripping holes in my perfectly nice jeans like I did 20+ years ago. ;)

Hmm, I am thinking I will see a lot of Flashdance costumes at PPP this year, oh, wait, thats just how everyone dresses every day!

I think we all need to go with 80's sitcoms for a theme to the costume contest! LOL

Grrr! The 80's was just one big fashion faux pas. But I guess that's what people will say about the millennium 20 years from now. :)

I'm with sexy delan on this one. When it comes to style, the 80's were embarrassing.

But some of the music is awesome! :~p

Don't you mean Phlashdance? ;)

I'll look for my denim jacket and parachute pants or maybe my Don Johnson pastel suit (yeah, right). Carrie, don't forget to put a big polka dot bow in that big featheryhair-- although I'm not sure that wouldn't violate the rules againstlarge headpieces. Kause and phoenixphan can do A Flock of Seagullshair.

Well... if I had hair Flock of Seagulls would rock! I am thinking either on of two fallen stars... Wake me up before you go-go with Careless Whisper perhaps.... hmmm

Wonder if this means the 90's will come back. Watch for a run on flannel...

You can bet on it, Greg. Nostalgia runs in 15-20 year cycles.

The 70s gave us Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley, not to mention Linda Ronstadt's covers of Buddy Holly and Everly Brothers songs (It's So Easy, That'll Be the Day, When Will I Be Loved?).

the 80s gave us the Big Chill and its largely 60's Motown soundtrack, George Harrison's hit "When We Was Fab" referred to the Beatlemania of the 60s. John Cougar Mellencamp (I think he was all 3 names then) did "Rockin' in the USA," with the homage to all the 60s performers.

The 90s gave us That 70s Show, the Brady Bunch movies, and all the shows about the 70s on VH-1.

The 00s gave us "1985" and 80s songs like "Super Freak" are being used in commercials.

Actually, the 2020s will scare the bejeepers out of me, when we get to relive reality TV, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton again.
