Post buttons broken! - CoasterBuzz

So far I have only tried this on Safari 4.1.3, which is the latest version that will run on OS X.IV.XI (which is the latest version that will run the PowerPC version of Avid Xpress Pro, which...blah blah blah).

But on this version of Safari, the "Post Topic" and "Post Reply" buttons are broken...they do nothing.

Workaround is to switch to the mobile view, in which everything works just fine.

Do a shift-reload (or maybe it's ctrl-reload, I dunno, try them all). Safari is hanging on to the wrong version of a backing script.

Ah. That worked! It's shift-reload, by the way.

And that sounds like typical behavior for Safari; it has always been bad about caching way too aggressively and not updating when it should.

Apparently IE 8.0 works for me - couldn't use the buttons on Chrome (v. 25.0.1364.97), and couldn't log in on FireFox (16.0.2) but that may be an unrelated issue.

edit: I'm way too un-hip to even have Safari.. ;~P

Yeah, no issues here on either of those. Force refresh, I suppose.

Last night, CoasterBuzz kept crashing my Safari. I restarted my Mac and that fixed it.

I have had this issue in Firefox - it seems to be related to the Popup blocker. When I click the post button, nothing happens. However, when I click the post button and I am prompted about the popup and I action it, it then works.

Not to derail this discussion, but it seems that no matter what I do at work at the moment, someone always has an issue with it in one browser or another. It feels like we have jumped backwards a decade or so in the last few months or so.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

The post buttons seem to be working just fine for Blasterboy and Tyler.

Chrome hasn't caused any issues for me either. The only issues I ever have are with various mobile browsers on my phone and tablet. And those are usually resolved by switching to mobile view.
