Pop-ups

Jeff, could you PLEASE do something about the pop-ups. In Opera 5 on Linux, I get a new pop-up with EVERY SINGLE PAGE VIEW.

 its been brought up before.  all hes gonna say is "sorry, but bills have to be paid".  i get the same with IE6, which pisses me off royally, but hey, bills DO have to be paid...

Unless you become a CB clubmember, you are going to have to deal with the pop-ups. As monkey stated, bills have to get paid.

No, you don't get a pop-up with every page view because they're frequency capped to one impression per visitor session. Last I checked there were five pop-up campaigns at most.

Make sure you're accepting cookies and turn off that privacy nonsense in IE6, which tends to kill cookies. If you're not accepting cookies, there's no way to tell how many times you've seen an ad.

And lastly, as some others have said, those ads are paying the bills so you can continue to enjoy the site. Why not humor the sponsors and visit them.

Ok, I have a valid complaint. I just got a pop up saying "Amazon.com shopers save instantly on this purchase". and guess what I paid my 20 bucks for the club. Whats going on?

Nope, I was on the club site. I got another one a few weeks ago, but I didnt think anything of it.

Hey tyler is linux any good? Or should i stick with ME. Also FYI Opera 6.0 eleminates Pop ops by not showing you them when viewing. there are four or 5 down where it says what webpages are loaded. i have never used Linux, but i have Windows XP Home Edition Upgraded from ME, and i love it, it comes with IE6, which works fine but i never use because i use AOL. and best of all, I HAVE YET TO SEE A POPUP ON THIS SITE with IE6 because i have pop-up-stopper.
