LTLWcbYbe,
I agree with part of what you said. While there are a whole slew of folks that Vekoma bash any way they can, perhaps they aren't looking at the big picture? Installing a Vekoma ride could bring in a 'better' coaster for the future if the Vekoma is a hit.
I myself have never understood the whole 'No, we can't have ANY clones' way of thinking. Yea, I like originality as much as the next person but I also realize there are a LOT more people that look at a Boomerang as something new and exciting than those that think they are 'just another ride'. I guess I am just thankful to ride ANY coaster instead of no coaster at all.
As for as Serial Thriller, I found that SLC to be the least re-ridable out of the many I have ridden. I had no problem riding it opening season, but it hasn't aged very well IMO. There are only about 3 coasters I have no desire to ride again and Serial Thriller is on that list. However, there are other SLCs that I have no problem riding. To provide the most comfortable ride for myself, I usually sit in the very back row. This didn't work for me on Serial Thriller and I did try other seats after riding in the back to see what would work.
I am glad Serial Thriller is still liked by people because that proves that it still thrills guests. I guess it all depends on your own cup of tea.

Agreed... Poland is indeed lucky to get 5 (count 'em!) coasters in one park so quickly. I will trade them for my poor Arrow Corkscrew here in Seattle.

What about Enchanted Village's new (Arrow?) wild mouse? ;) If I just became a Six Flags park, I would want Six Flags to give me something better than a wild mouse for 2002, wouldn't you?
Any park that can get 5 coasters in a year is a pretty impressive one!
And remember, enthusiasts (and not even all enthusiasts) are the only ones that don't like Boomerangs. Park guests love the things...

Thats cool to get 5 vekomas in one park. Though instead of an over cloned, out of date, headbanging crappy boomerang they should get a super invertigo model. And a mine train, who wants to ride that. They should get a hammerhead stall or a cliffhanger roller coaster. R.I.P Vertigo
