Poland Getting 5 Vekomas

Poland is getting a park with 5 Vekoma coasters. The park (FantasiaLand)will feature a new Vekoma Woodie, Boomerang, Kiddie Suspended, Mine Train and an SLC. 5 Vekomas! What are the odds that their first three sponsors will be Advil, Tylenol, and Bayer Asprin?

I feel story for all those Polish for having to suffer with a park with 5 Vekomas!
Anyways, Vekoma needs to take the original Boomerang off their shelves. That park should have at least gotten an Invertigo if they were going to get a Vekoma Boomerang.
Maybe we could rally to get a B&M there!

Yeah, I know if I were making a supremely popular product I would just stop producing it just for the hell of it...that makes perfect sense. And what do you mean "rally" for a B&M? Should I be making picket signs and booking flights to Poland? lol. Rally for a B&M. That's good stuff right there.

The Boomerang really isn't a bad product it has just been overproduced in the minds of us enthusiasts. For a park it is a great ride for the majority of the GP that doesn't visit every park. I usually enjoy Boomerangs if they are properly maintained.

Maybe since the park is getting an SLC, the idea of a sit down Boomerang sounds like a better choice.

Dude, my roomie set the alarm to 6 in the f'n morning by "accident" and I couldn't get back to sleep, even though my first class isn't until 2.

In other news, I haven't ridden a coaster in more than 2 months and I'm about to go drive down Bryan Station Raod doing 80 just to get some adrenaline going. Some of those humps can get pretty wicked. ;)

5 Vekomas sounds cool.

Unknown to any stubborn american Vekoma's are now extemely smooth. (of course they still need maintenece (roomie glares at SF)).

I have ridden several Vekoma's and all the newer ones rival firms like B&M and Intamin. I still have an SLC in my top 5. You will notice there are 0 new SLC's in the USA hence peoples perception that they are still rough. Limit, Eraser, Traumatizer and BLue Tornado are all fantastic. I have another theory about people going onto rides expecting a headbanging are prolly gonna get one.. but another time hey lol.

The Woodie appears to be very much like Robbin hood at SFH possibly a Mirror Image. The SJC is finnaly heading to europe too.

Just another tidbit. This is Europes 6th new park in 2 or 3 years. (WBMWm (Spain), Speed Festival (Spain), Park Fantasia (Poland), Toverland (Netherlands), Fantasia Park (portugal) and universal germany

Agreed... Poland is indeed lucky to get 5 (count 'em!) coasters in one park so quickly. I will trade them for my poor Arrow Corkscrew here in Seattle.:)

Just stay offa New Circle Road. You can't ever get going fast enough to reach 80 mph there with all the stop lights they've installed since I lived there.

I'm sick of hearing all this Vekoma sucks crap. From the parks mgt. position, I feel it's a pretty wise move adding these coasters to get started. They are cheap and proven rides. I highly doubt many of you will be visiting this park so why are you whining about it? I have ridden many of Vekomas products and have yet to come off of one dissapointed or with a headache. I rode Serial Thriller at SFWoA 17 times in a row one early morning and enjoyed every ride. They're not near as rough as people make them out to be. I bet a good majority of the parks guests will be more than happy with the new park and it's new Vekoma coasters.

Are you kidding? A friend and I have done over 90 on New Circle Road. You can get some wicked speed on the section between Harrodsburg Road and Nicholasville Road.

Back on topic, I'd be glad if I had 5 Vekomas. So it's a clone park. Most people don't care if there's an identical ride in a park they've probably never heard of. They just want a fun ride. I'd rather have a Boomerang than nothing at all.
