PNE's Coaster in danger??

I am going to call that number right away! I would suggest all of you who read this thread do the same. Put the fear of God into them....nicely of course. They need to know we love this ride, and it must be relocated with the PNE (if they move at all). I would also mention to them that the Puyallup fairgrounds is on prime real estate and it has remained in its location since the dawn of time.....well....for 80+ years... I would like to see Playland remain in its present location. Heck, spruce it up a bit while you are at it. ...Oh, and how's about promoting the property so it will have more business. Perhaps that is one huge motivating factor?

It seems there is a lot of conflicting information on the 'net on what is going to happen to the PNE and Coaster. On www.screamscape.com in the news section it says that Coaster will be torn down for good after the 2003 season. On www.coasterglobe.com in the general discussion section Egg Nog says it has been confirmed that the PNE is taking the ride with them,as the PNE acknowledges that they would not have the patronage without it. I hope Egg Nog is right.I guess I will have to send an inquiry up north and try to get the skinny.

God, nasai...I'm ready to rank Coaster #1 after merely reading that description. I think I enjoyed imagining a ride on it as much I enjoyed riding my #1! ;)

Oh, if only the blessed thing weren't 2900 miles away...

I will keep you all posted on whatever I find out about the PNE and Coaster.Maybe they could be convinced to donate it (if they decide not to move it)to another park. Oaks Park would be a great new home for it.To have a Carl Phare coaster in Portland,Oregon again would be a dream come true for me.

Lets' save the Vancouver PNE Coaster before its'too late!
