Places To Eat

For La Ronde, since the park is right next to downtown, you have all the restaurants there available! "St-Hubert" is an institution in Quebec. A great chicken place. Scores is chicken too and real good.
Excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse ME! Incidentalist. I didn't mean any harm! :(

If you are going to the Western Washington Fair (AKA "The Puyallup") Go for the stand that makes "Earthquake Burgers". These are Hamburgers that are a FOOT in Diameter and if you can eat TWO of them with THE WORKS they will REFUND your purchase! :)

(I found ONE to be PLENTY!)

The only place I can ever remember being really cool was when we went to Knoebels for the first time. We stayed in a Red Roof Inn above Knoebels and there was a really cool restaurant where we had breakfast. It had that country Ma & Pop vibe and the food was good. There was a McDonalds across the street.

This place is called the Dutch pantry and is exelent.

Hey RatherGoodBear lets not forget Virginville.

I actually got a mug in the Dutch Wonderland gift shop with all those town names on it.

If all of you are interested in finding a place to eat near your favorate Amusement Park there is a Book called LET'S GO USA (Available at most Bookstores) that lists places where you can eat for a Reasonable Price, as well as Cheap Accomodations and other Points of Interest in an area. I have used this book on many occaisions and I find it to be quite useful. :) *** Edited 4/14/2006 1:23:34 AM UTC by Borntocoast***
Hey BG, SLFAKE already mentioned Virginville. But it's worth a second time. Don't forget some of those other PA Dutchland gems... Fertility, Paradise, Bareville. There's a restaurant between Reading and Lancaster on Route 272 (the OLD highway) called Zinn's. Last few times I was there, their placemats gave mileage from the restaurant to all those naughty sounding towns.

Incidentalist, best pirogies? My mom's obviously. :) Best bet for a place to buy pirogies? Come to PA on a Friday and look for a church with "onion domes." Polish churches make pretty good ones too. Lots of festivals in NEPA all summer long. My tip for the western part of the state-- your best choices are Southside Pittsburgh and Carnegie.

Between mom and the churches, I can't stand the store bought ones (use real potatoes, darn it!)

Not quite Amish country but who has taken a quick glimpse of the sign for Scotrun, PA thought it said something else... :)
When I go on my coaster trips I try to eat at buffet restaurants mainly the Old Country Buffet(A+), HomeTown Buffet, last year trip I try Ryan's(A+) and this year trip I going to try the Golden Corral.
That's just plain nuts, millrace! :)
Has any of you eaten at the German Pavilion at EPCOT? They have EXCELLANT German Food (I usually order the Three 'Wurst Plate with all the trimmings, and while you eat you are entertained by a Floor Show with Dancers and an "Oompa Band" The price is quite reasonable for the restaurants there!:)
If you are going to Splish- Splash and you want some good grub for the way home, head psat the L.I.E. and on your right you will see a place called "The Roadhouse." The place is basically a pizza place, with good homemade grub that is frequented by the locals. They even have a few picnic tables out in the back yard that overlooks a slow-moving river, where kyakers and canoe riders float by.

On the way back to the L.I.E., one of hte best home made ice cream places is called Snowflake. It is quite good.

On the food thread - have any of you ever eaten at the Chinese Buffet accross the street and around the corner from Kennywood? Any good?
