IMO PKI HAS ALREADY COMPLETED A NEW CHILDRENS RIDE THEREFORE IT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING FOR THE OLDER RIDERS. IT DOES SOUND LIKE THAT IT WILL BE A WATER RIDE, AS IF A WATER RIDE GOES (KCKC) AT MOST THEME PARKS THEY DEVELOP A NEW WATER RIDE, SOMETHING IN THE RANGE OF P.P. AT KNOTTS WOULD BE NICE OR ONE OF THEM WATER COASTERS LIKE THE ONE AT SDC. BUT IF IT WAS A COASTER, REMEMBER ARROW HAVE STATED THEY HAVE THREE OTHER CONTRACTS FOR 4TH DIMENSION COASTERS AND S&S MUST BE FAVORATES AFTER THE PKD COASTER. I DON'T THINK B&M WILL BE BUILDING AT THE PARK BECAUSE THEY WOULD NOT NEED TO START BUILDING YET FOR ONE OF THEIR COASTERS TO BE READY FOR NEXT YEAR. I ALSO DON'T THINK IT WILL BE VEKOMA EITHER AFTER PARAMOUNT NOT BUILD ANY MORE FLYING COASTERS AFTER THEIR 4 FLYING COASTER CONTRACT. SO WHAT DOES THIS LEAVE, A POSSIBLE DARK RIDE OR WATER RIDE. THATS MY OPINION, WHATS YOURS?

Give it up. It's not going to be another coaster. PKI is not about to get into the coaster wars with SFWOA and Cedar Point. I think we will see a truly themed experience, and all signs point to an Indiana Jones (Disneyland/Spiderman (IOA) type ride, with a combination of 3D, moving vehicles, and other sensory experiences. Now if they allowed the ride to be part coaster part water ride, I am there.
But let's let the steelie rumor die. PKI is not about to reinvent the wheel. In a state known for coaster wars, look for PKI to take another direction.
Tomb Raider: The Adventure

Really,I think turnofthecentury has got it right just from reading Screamscape.
The site has always been right with their predictions,like a floorless or LIM launched coaster at Cedar Point and SFGAm.
You can go on and on about the false rumors at that site.
Here is what I know. I know that the Vortex has begun being primed (within the last week). Also, I am pretty sure that demolition of KCKC will begin this week as there was construction equipment on the new acces road. Also, the signs that say a new adventure also say a thrill.
I hope its not a rhino rally ride. PKI already has a dark ride. IMO, a water coaster and dark ride will fit in nice. However I would like a big steel coaster! Whatever it is it will not be themed just for kids as PKi did that for this year. In Fact, each of the last three updates to kiddie lands, (`92, `95, and `98) were followed by new coasters in (`93, `96, and `99) very intresting! I can`t wait to find out what great new additions PKI has up their sleeve for next year!
Or, DirtyVern, just a couple of weeks ago when they said that KCKC wasn't going to close. I wouldn't take anything as a sure thing from any site, let alone Screamscape. (I do, however, enjoy the site.)
I'm still a little confused about why people say PKI won't get into "Coaster Wars" or whatever you want to call it. Just look at what they've done over the past six years in the coaster department. True, they're not in the game for the most coasters or anything to that extent, but they will always continue to build great coasters regardless of what other parks do. That's not getting into the war, but it is maintaining a great park.
My personal guess is a dark water ride, but my personal dream is a steel terrain coaster.

hopefully it is a huge steel giga-coaster with tunnels and great hidden ride elements like the Beast. It would be great if not much was known about the ride also like if it was hiden in the woods with the beast. Possibly the "Iron Beast" or "Return of the Beast". This addition would be a great way to make the beast into a trilogy or pave the way for many more beasts to come!

Hey we just have to wait till later in the summer. If we see big pieces off track coming in we know its gonna be a coaster and be how many junkies are here we could tell what company and if B&M what kind of coaster! If we see big pieces of wood and steel for a building we'll know a dark ride...Patience is a virtue!!!!!!!!!

It very well could be a coaster. The thing about it is that if it is read on thrillride or screamscape, it is automatically taken as fact if the rumor seems valid. I think the whole Tomb Raider concept is fantastic, but I won't be surprised if it doesn't happen.

If by ENTERPRISE you mean Star Trek Experience, you must be forgetting what part of the park this is in. Same for Tomb Raider. That's my logic for either a water ride or "The Bat." The "Bat" rumor has been around for a while, and was supposedly the theme for the Vekoma FD. And why don't I hear anyone talking about the "2 in 2002" rumor anymore?
Sorry for my excitement, but I am itching for a steel hyper at PKI.
PKI is definately in the coaster wars. There are only two parks IN THE WORLD with more of 'em. It will probably be a coaster. Why would they be getting everyone excited about a new "adventure" when it's just a dark ride. It would also have a hard time blending into the Rivertown motiffe.
