Pie? Is that a hint to the mystery 3rd attraction?

It looks smaller than I imagined, but still looks to be a great ride.

My first trip to PKI was last year for Cbuzzcon. I saw a lot of the "character" of the park in the theming, and kinda wish I'd seen it earlier.

The pie reference has everything to do with a new attraction for 2003.... but it has nothing to do with ANOTHER new for 2003 attraction.

I took a look in person yesterday, It looks pretty neat, Blue and yellow are the main colors. Im sure the Arc of the swing will be a impressive thrill. The ride itself though apears no larger than Viking Fury (PKI's long forgoten ride)

It also apears that the ride may be ready for testing in a couple weeks.

Chuck, quite excited about this years PKI additions!

My favorite era of PKI? The years shortly following the Beast opening. The bat, King Cobra, Adventure Express. All inovative and thrilling concepts. Plus some of the best shows and entertainment at any parks in the world.

Between Adventure Express and Outerlimits were PKI's Darkest years, The park went to hell. Gum all over the trees, walls ect. Alcohol consumption was way out of control and the crowd was restless. Paramount took over and imediately in Crowd mood and park aperance

The last 7 years! Outer Limits, Drop Zone, SOB, Reptar, TR:TR. Scooby, Delerium, Rebuilt steam trains, Redone/Revived Rivertown and Action Zone.

I believe a rehab of Coney Mall area is in the works but I have no proof. I would personally like to see some more rides in the area perhaps behind racer but thats just my wishful thinking. I also wish they would revive the quality and quantity of shows at the park but again wishful thinking.

Chuck, who thinks Paramount and the great staff at PKI have done very very well compared to the direction KI was going in the late '80s

Me thinks that King's Island putting in Delirium and the Scooby ride might have been a better choice than a new coaster. I am loveing the looks of the Scooby ride. Delirium looks ok. Not that big of a favorite but we shall see.

Dennis,

Yikes! Has anyone ever served you a Warrant for being cheesy?

-Sean (who was all about 80's metal back in 'the day' but didn't care much for Jani and the boys)

It looks like this ride is going to swing out right over people standing on the path between Festhaus and Delirium. Should be impressive just standing there watching.

A one that is not cold, is hardly a one at all.

Hehe, so how many pieces are in this pie? 2? 3? 4? Is there enough for everyone? If not you didn't learn much from kindergarten. If you didn't bring enough for the whole class then you shouldn't have brought any at all. (Though I never understood that)

I am thinking that they will get rid of the path between Festhaus and Delirium and construct a new path between Delirium and where the rest of King Cobra used to be. Is this possible?

Sean - at least I'm not so pathetic as to know the names of people in the band! ;)

A day is a drop of water in the ocean of eternity. A week is seven drops.

It is not possible to move that path unless they move Day of Thunder. Delirium was built were it was so that it would swing over the path. It gives the riders a thrill of swinging over people, and the people not paying attention can get scared to death as it swings back down on top of them.

I drove past the park today and the exterior to Scooby Doo is starting to be inclosed. You can see the bright yellow insulation panels on the outside of the castle fasade from outside the park. Didn't have a camera with me, sorry.

BeastFreak, how did you drive by the park and see the facade of Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle? I could never see Phantom Theater until I actually got in the park and was standing right in front of it.

Intelligence is a God given gift: Know how to use it.

Scooby Doo is about 30 feet taller than the building used to be which makes it about 50 feet, from what I was told.

With no leaves on the trees, you can see the bright purple paint of the Beastie. Right past that is old Phantom Theatre/new Scooby Doo. Since they are making the front of that building much taller it is visible from outside the park when there are no leaves on the trees in the park. Plus bright yellow tends to stick out even if it is behind something.
