I have a question for you: what was your favorie "era" (2-3 yr period) at PKI?
However, the outrageous 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock swing will make this unit one amazing ride to see and experience.

To be honest, nothing will be able to surpass my fists visit to the park in 1981. That is what hooked me on the park, so I would have to say the early 1980's era.
However, truthfully, the past 3 years have been terrific years for the park. There has been a breath of fresh air of late, and PKI is finally getting much needed improvements. Obviously, they can only do so much each season, but I am really feeling a return to quality there.
IMO, KI or PKI (along with all Paramount Parks) really went through a horrible period from about 1989 through 1995. In that time, Linder ran the parks into the ground, KECO was falling apart at the seams, Paramount (who initially had good intentions when buying the chain but failed to get the "big" picture) tried unsuccessfully to "change" the parks. But IMO the park's management teams are finally finding their niche again.
You should definitely go back. Visually the park has changed, but it still has the same "feel." The "feel" is what I have always loved about PKI, and why it is my favorite. I like the rides, but there is something very familiar about KI to me.... I know it's weird, but it is kinda like home.

Shaggy, he's had a photo for almost a month! I also say I must agree with you about the best era's. Although, I never got to experience the early 80s. :( (Yes I am a teenage punk that nobody likes) :)
